During the search of an ancient castle, Jackie and Jade stumble upon two cats — a pretty white cat that Jade names Ruby, and a statue called the Cat of Khartoum. However, a scuffle with the Dark Hand for the figurine result in Valmont slowly becoming a humanoid cat, while a black market dealer targets Jackie and Jade in order to get the statue for himself.
This episode provides examples of:
- Animorphism: Anyone scratched by the statue's claw will slowly transform into a cat-like person.
- Drunk with Power: Valmont is clearly losing his sanity after being endowed by the statue's power.
- Find the Cure!: Some gibberish Uncle found that says that the cure to the cat's curse "lies within". Jackie eventually figures it out that the cure is inside the statue.
- It Belongs in a Museum: Jackie frequently says this about the statue. When he realizes that it's too dangerous, he decides to destroy it.
- Manipulative Bastard: Cardiff is playing both sides. He offers to pay Valmont should be retrieve Cat of Khartoum and then offers Jade her Uncle's freedom if she steals the artifact from Valmont.
- No Man Should Have This Power: Jackie would rather destroy the statue than let it fall into villain hands. Fortunately, doing so released the cure, changing Valmont and Jade back to normal.
- What's a Henway?: During a fight with Finn and Ratso in which the pair chuck an artifact at him, Jackie lets out a panicked Big "NO!" before catching it and putting it down safely, saying it's a Babylonian urn.Ratso: What's a Babylonian urn?
Finn: Probably more than we do! - Whatever Happened to the Mouse?: It is never revealed what Jade did with the cat she named Ruby after the episode.
