While the rest of the Knights of Vengeance free Phobos and empower him with the Fire Demon Chi, Nerissa and Drago prepare to enact their own master plan.
- The Bad Guy Wins: As Drago gloats during the villains' departure, the heroes have completely lost, with Elyon imprisoned and stripped of her power, while at the same time Shendu has been freed.
- Cliffhanger: The chapter ends with Nerissa, Drago, and Miranda fleeing with the captured Elyon, while Shendu is freed by the Dragon Teeth to wreak havoc.
- De-power: Drago takes his chi back from Raythor, Frost, and Hak Foo after the Knights are defeated and imprisoned, stripping them of the powers he gave them.
- Enemy Civil War: One briefly breaks out among the Knights of Vengeance when first the Ice Crew and then Hak Foo plot to steal Elyon's power for themselves, triggering a fight with Phobos and his loyalists. However, once the heroes show up, the villains stop fighting each other to focus on them.
- Frame-Up: Nerissa reveals that she's the one who really killed Elyon and Phobos' parents, spreading rumors about the latter so that everyone would blame him for it.
- I Shall Taunt You: The heroes do this to Phobos as a distraction, knowing that his use of Shendu's Demon Chi will cause him to be enraged and not notice the spell being set up to drain the Chi from him.
- Internal Reveal: First Miranda and then Elyon's inner circle learn about Nerissa being Drago's mother.
- Kick the Dog: Not only does Nerissa show Elyon a false image of Phobos killing their parents in an attempt to protect his sister, but callously reveals that she was the one who did so, and that she was manipulating both him and her from the start, topping it off by stealing her power.
- Pass the Popcorn: Drago shares a bag of popcorn with Miranda as they watch the fight between the Phobos loyalists and the Ice Crew and Hak Foo over who gets Elyon's powers.
- Pet the Dog: When they're reunited, Phobos apologizes to Raythor for throwing him into the Abyss of Shadows, and praises his loyalty. Also, even after being imprisoned for months by her, he still intends to just send Elyon back to Earth after he takes her powers.
- The Reveal: Nerissa explains that she was the one who killed Elyon's parents and framed Phobos for it.
- Ship Tease: Miranda blushes when Drago compliments her cruel mind.
- The Starscream: The Ice Crew, dissatisfied with the idea of Phobos gaining Elyon's power and the Fire Demon Chi, plot to steal the former themselves. Hak Foo independently tries to do the same as well.
- Time Skip: This chapter picks up two months after the previous one.
- Wham Episode: Not only do Drago and Nerissa reveal their familial connection to Miranda and get her to join their plans, but Phobos gets the Fire Demon Chi thanks to Raythor, the Ice Crew betray the Knights to try and steal Elyon's power themselves, with Hak Foo later following suit, Drago uses Dragon Teeth and Quintessence to free Shendu from statue form, and it's revealed that Nerissa was the one that killed Elyon's parents as she steals the girl's power.
- Xanatos Gambit: Nerissa and Drago both admit that it doesn't matter whether the Knights do as they're told and use the Fire Demon Chi on Elyon's adoptive parents or instead decide to use it on Phobos, since all that's really needed is for them to create a big enough distraction for the Guardians and other heroes that the two of them can carry out their real goals of stealing the Heart of Meridian from Elyon and freeing Shendu with the Dragon Teeth.
- You Monster!: Elyon calls Nerissa, Drago, and Miranda monsters when they mock her for how the former two manipulated her.
