Story summaries
There is a Thin Line Between Liking and Disliking (好きと嫌いは紙一重)
The group visits the Midsummer Night's Dream Story Zone. There, the fairy king Oberon, who has become a Chaosteller, has turned the world in a place where couples fight each other. The group Chaos Oberon to stop this rampage.
They defeat Chaos Oberon. However, after being hit by a fairy arrow that "undoes kindness and hostility", Reina and Clovis begin to show intense hostility towards Ex. The group heads to Titania, who is trapped in the Moon Fountain, which can negate the effects of the arrow.
Fairy's Prank I (妖精のいたずらⅠ)
The group continues their journey. Although Reina and Clovis do not get along well with each other, they bond in their hostility towards Ex. He is becoming exhausted. Will his body and mind hold up to the Moon Fountain?
Tomorrow It Might Be Me III (明日は我が身Ⅲ)
Reina and Clovis continue to be harsh towards Ex. Even so, only both of their attitudes have been reversed, but their true nature remains the same, so they continues on their journey. Tao laughs at the troubled Ex, even though the latter finds that to be disrespectful. Then fairy Puck and the Villains attack the party.
The group fends off Puck and the rest. However, the fairy's arrow also hits Shane this time. Immediately, Shane's kindless and hostility get reversed, and she acts coldly towards Tao. Tao, who had been laughing at Ex, now finds himself on the same boat.
A Battle that Cannot Be Lost (負けられない戦いⅢ)
Titania is imprisoned in the cave of the Moon Fountain. She desperately tries to speak to Chaos Oberon, but gets no answer. The party appears in front of Chaos Oberon, who seems to be running wild out of frustration.
The heroes once again defeats Chaos Oberon. Although he manages to escape thanks to Puck's interference, they successfully release the Moon Fountain. Titania, who was rescued, detoxifies them. Reyna, Clovis and Shane return to their normal state.
Deep Into the Forest (森の奥地へⅠ)
The party heads for Chaos Oberon's home base, the Moon Lake. Along the way, they hear about the quarrel between Oberon and Titania, which started this incident. It all seems to have started with the humiliation of his failed attempt to trick his wife into cheating him, but Ex has doubts as to whether this is really the case.
The Queen's Confusion III (女王の戸惑いⅢ)
During the journey, the group makes camp. Titania is depressed as she thinks about her husband, Oberon. Titania laments that her husband hates her and has become a Chaosteller, but Ex cheers her up.
The Man Transformed into a Donkey III (ロバにされた男Ⅲ)
The group is just one step away from the Moon Lake. In front of them stands Nick Bottom, the "man who was transformed into a donkey''. The group fights Bottom, who joined Oberon in order to get a cures for his own head, and because he "knows about Oberon's noble spirit".
They defeat Nick Bottom. Titania asks Bottom what Oberon's true intentions are, but he tells her to ask him herself. The only way to cure the donkey's head is to let it take time to heal, which is five years. This leave Bottom exhasperated, and the party takes off.
It is All About Love (全ては愛ゆえに)
The group arrives at the Moon Lake. However, Titania's steps become slower as she fears reuniting with her husband Oberon. So, Titania makes herself invisible by using a medicine made from juice of invisible grass, and she heads towards Oberon along with the party. Although Chaos Oberon acknowledged his foolishness, there was a reason why he had to do what he did. In order to find out the reason that he cannot bring himself to reveal, the group challenges Chaos Oberon to battle.
They defeat Chaos Oberon. The truth revealed was that it was all for Titania. Oberon thought that Titania would be unhappy if she continued to be the wife of a foolish man like him, so in order to make Titania hate him, he became a Chaosteller and tried to change her fate. After hearing the truth, Titania appears and reconciles with Oberon. Thus, the turmoil subsided and balance was brought to the Story Zone.
Tropes appearing in this episode:
- Everyone Has Standards: When the party sees the many couples in this Zone quarreling, Fam jokes about Tao liking this sort of fights. While he is indeed a Blood Knight who enjoys a good fight (as in, physical fights) heated verbal altercations are off the table.
- Hypocritical Humor: Tao claims he does not like witnessing quarrels, yet he makes fun of Ex's predicament with Reina and Clovis.
- Laser-Guided Karma: Tao cannot help but to laugh off at the abuse Ex is subjected to by Reina and Clovis. Not too long after, Shane gets shot by Puck's arrow and Tao is now Shane's victim of verbal abuse, including being accused of being a pervert. This prompts Tao to apologize to Ex for making fun of him.
- Please Kill Me if It Satisfies You: Played for Laughs. After Titania cures the party from the effects of Puck's arrow, Reina and Shane deeply apologize to Ex and Tao respectively. What does Clovis do? He hands over Ex a knife so that he can stab him, because Clovis simply cannot forgive himself for verbally abusing him.
- Took a Level in Jerkass: Anybody who gets shot by Puck's arrows becomes a real jerk to their close partner. Reina and Clovis are the first victims, and they proceed to verbally abuse Ex for a good chunk of the story. Shane gets shot too, with her target being Tao, her older brother-like figure. Fam finds the whole thing to be amusing.
