Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo: Wiggin' War in the Sky World

It's April Fools once more, and that means Vyrn? is out for blood. Wait... Why is the logo of Toei Animation popping up?

After fifteen year of inactivity, Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo celebrates his birthday and receives a present from an unknown sender consisting a "harmless-looking toy" that has a button labeled "Interdimensional Travel". Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo being himself, presses the button and got what he should have expected.

Tropes

  • April Fools' Day: This event doubles as 2021's iteration of the annual Big Bad Shadow event. An additional day was made during 2022, which only last for that day.
  • Big Red Button: Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo and his friends are dragged in to the Sky Realm because he pushed a button that says "Interdimensional Travel".
  • Breaking Old Trends: This is the first Big Bad Shadow event that is considered its own event that lasts for more than 24 hours. Scenes from the previous Big Bad Shadow events are typically found in Vyrn?'s journal entry.
  • Call-Back: Vyrn? wonders if the series he's crossing over with is Pretty Cure just from the Toei Animation logo and the actual crossover event with Granblue from years ago.
  • Crossover: With Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo.
  • Denser and Wackier: Even though the Big Bad Shadow events have their own hints of wackiness, it's quite telling how wacky the event is if Vyrn? has trouble handling what Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo throws out either.
  • Entertainingly Wrong: From the Toei Animation logo alone, Vyrn guesses that the series he's crossing over with is either Ojamajo Doremi or Pretty Cure. It's actually Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo.
  • Gravity Is a Harsh Mistress: After Beauty points out they're high in the skies, the Rebels starts to fall from there.
  • I Fell for Hours: Much of the opening involves the Rebels falling from the sky, throwing some few jokes in the mix to pass the time.
  • Offscreen Moment of Awesome: Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo turns the entire year into April Fools Day with days 6 to 365 not being shown due to scheduling conflicts, as he finds out the hard way.
  • Overly Long Gag: April Fools Day usually lasts for only one day. The event drags on for five days and one more additional day the year after. The additional day is also considered to be the 366th day of April Fools Day in-universe.
  • Locked Out of the Loop: Somehow, Vyrn? is the only being that is not informed that this year's Big Bad Shadow event is a crossover.
  • Surreal Humor: Much like its original source material, this events runs a lot of much of this humor and is frequently weaponized against Vyrn?.
