Jackson is not happy to be town selectman. Emily gets an anxiety room, which is a panic room the size of an outhouse. Luke and Lorelai go on a double date with Dean and Rory. They go to the movies and end up fighting over a toy.Maid of the week: Sarah

- Affectionate Nickname: Although they don't get to see Cool Hand Luke, Lorelai proceeds to call Luke "Cool Hand" for the rest of the evening.
- Alternative Character Interpretation: In-universe, Lorelai and Rory have decided that The Adventures of Pippi Longstocking is a surrealist movie with bizarre cinematography, atonal singing, and stilted delivery.
