Muko and Kalita start their furry fight training with Daikarin.

After completing Daikarin's training exercise, Muko and Kalita finally have their own sparring ring! However, Daikarin still has more training exercises in store for them. While Muko and Kalita train, Cookie talks with Ida and Daikarin about the next step.

  • Airplane Arms: Fidah, one of the younger orphans of Yoko Orphanage, runs with her arms extended like wings, because she likes planes and wants to be a pilot when she grows up.
  • Beehive Hairdo: Daikarin changed her ensemble while Muko and Kalita were building the ring. One of the most notable features is that she styled her hair into a beehive.
  • Call-Back: Cookie remembers how she developed an interest in hiring Kalita as a Combagal when she watched Kalita's first fight with Muko. There's even a brief panel of the part in Chapter 5 when Kalita is about to give Muko an elbow drop, highlighting when Cookie realized Kalita's potential in furry fighting.
  • Cheerful Child: Fidah is a very sweet child who loves hanging out with Kalita and share her dreams of being a pilot with her.
  • Cool Big Sis: Kalita walks Fidah, one of the youngest orphans of Yoko Orphanage, back home when she gets out of school and listens to her dreams for the future.
  • Cue the Sun: The sun rises after the body slam exercise is fulfilled. Daikarin decides to end the training there since Muko and Kalita worked all night and she's satisfied with their performance.
  • Desperately Looking for a Purpose in Life: Kalita feels lost when Cookie and Daikarin start talking about plans for the future. She bitterly thinks that she has no idea of what she wants to do with her life in the following year, implying that she's not sure about her life as a Combagal.
Kalita: (thinking to herself) You're all so busy making plans...while I have no clue where I'll be in half a year.
  • Dysfunctional Family: Implied, as Ida points out that it's unlikely that Cookie will ask her father for favors after how things ended between them. Cookie's expression of discomfort hints that she finds the thought of meeting her father an awkward experience she'd rather avoid.
  • I Let You Win: Besides being weakened by their fight against each other, Snuggly and Sleepy agreed to lose to give Team Star Killer their debut as a Heel team. However, they have to make sure to lose to the Redoable Dolls six months later once they become the Tendonchi Champions.
  • Innocently Insensitive: Ida refers to Daikarin with male pronouns, but her tone and them being acquaintances makes it clear that she's inexperienced talking with transgender people rather than meaning anything hurtful to Daikarin.
  • Noodle Incident: According to Ida, something happened between Cookie and her father that complicated things between them. Ida believes that Cookie's father will refuse to help Cookie even if she were to return and beg. Likewise, Cookie makes an uncomfortable expression, implying that she'd rather not see her father after what happened between them.
  • Offscreen Moment of Awesome: The first page of the chapter shows that Muko and Kalita finished Daikarin's training exercise: they picked up their ring, piece by piece, took them up through multiple trips upstairs to the room of Monyan, and built the ring from scratch. By the time they are finished, both of them are exhausted.
  • One Last Job: Daikarin is satisfied with her career as a singer, believing it to be her true calling over being a trainer. She still cares about Snuggly and Sleepy, though, as she agrees to train Muko and Kalita if they agree to let the Redoable Dolls become the Tendonchi Champions six months after Daikarin finishes her job with Team Star Killer.
  • Politically Incorrect Hero: Downplayed with Ida, who misgenders Daikarin but still considers her an attractive hunk without discriminating against her on the basis of appearance. Justified since the story takes place in the 90s, so Ida doesn't have as much experience with transgender people as the average person from the 21st century would have.
  • Redemption Quest: Just like Cookie, Daikarin wants to make things up to her Combagals (Sleepy and Snuggly, for failing them by prioritizing her needs over their own. She trains Muko and Kalita into Combagals strong enough to become the Tendonchi Champions so that they can lose to Snuggly and Sleepy in a rematch for the belts.
  • Secretly Selfish: Daikarin acknowledges that her desire to help Snuggly at the Epic Pop Dance Off was mostly motivated by her desire to perform on stage. She wants to make it up to her former students by having them reconcile, train Muko and Kalita to become the Tendonchi Champions, and then have Snuggly and Sleepy defeat them six months later so that they can recover their glory.
  • Smoking Is Not Cool: Daikarin casually slaps Kalita's cigarette out of her mouth, telling her that she needs to take care of her health.
  • Throwing the Fight: Snuggly and Sleepy agreed to lose to Team Star Killer to help them debut and fight the Tendonchi Champions. However, Team Star Killer has to repay the favor by becoming the next Tendonchi Champions and losing to the Redoable Dolls to allow Snuggly and Sleepy a comeback.
  • Training from Hell: The first thing that Daikarin has Muko and Kalita do is practice the Carioca and the shuffle to improve their mobility and footwork. She does this right after Muko and Kalita spends the whole night building the ring.
