Chapter 36: A Place Of Your Own
Team Star Killer starts their training journey.
Having successfully made their debut, Team Star Killer goes to Fortune Factory to begin their furry fighting training. On the way, they learn more about Cookie's past.
- Bait-and-Switch:
- After the previous episode had Cookie and Daikarin promise to train Muko and Kalita at the L'Asagne farm, it turns out that they were only going there for the ring. They plan to train at Monyan, using the stolen ring as a way to improve their technique through sparring.
- Ida flirts with Zebreastian, calling him handsome and asking if he has a girlfriend. Cookie panics, believing that Ida will use her "bodily capital" on him. An epilogue page at the end of the chapter later shows that Ida gave Zebreastian a dress to gift to his girlfriend.
- Beautiful Tears: Cookie looks adorable when she cries after Daikarin's kind words. Daikarin petting her head reinforces the look.
- Call-Back: When Muko gets a headache, Ida suggests to take a pill. Muko refuses since she remembers the lecture Cookie gave her in Chapter 7.
- Cuddle Bug: When asked by Kalita why she didn't sit in the back of the truck, Muko answers that she wanted to cuddle her new friends.
- Does Not Drive: Much to Kalita's annoyance, she's the only one of the group who has a driver's license, forcing her to drive the team to the Fortune Factory. Her friends have their own reasons for not having a license, such as lack of skill (Daikarin), no time (Cookie), or using public transport (Muko).Kalita: (driving with an annoyed expression on her face while cramped and surrounded by her new team) Does no one else have a driver's license?
Daikarin: (proudly) I failed the test three times!
Muko: (cheerfully) I like trains.
Cookie: (bored) I had better business. - Drives Like Crazy: Daikarin proudly states that she took her driving test three times and failed every time.
- Eye Scream: Kalita's pig friend had an eye bandage when Kali said goodbye to her, implying that she got it injured prior to her adoption.
- Fun T-Shirt: Muko wears a shirt that says "Burger Queen" in this chapter.
- Interspecies Adoption: Kalita was friends with a pig girl, who was adopted by a cervine father and a canine mother.
- Interspecies Romance: The new adoptive parents of Kalita's friend in the flashback are a deer and a dog.
- Ocular Gushers: Cookie cries a river of tears after Daikarin praises her for Trilamity Day, overwhelmed with gratitude at someone not hating her or criticizing her for what happened two years ago.
- The Show Must Go On: Daikarin believes that Cookie made the right choice by having her Combagals fight despite Freydar being in a coma, believing that it's the professional duty of an entertainer to bring hope to the public during dark times. Ida compliments Cookie, saying that she always admired her professionalism despite their differences.
