Monica and Chandler host a Halloween Party.
While Chandler and Ross participate in an arm wrestling match where they're equally matched because of how weak they are, Phoebe meets her sister's fiancee and finds herself falling for him.

- Big "SHUT UP!": Rachel delivers this to a trick-or-treater when he calls her out on not giving money out anymore, and ends up making him cry.
- Call-Back: Chandler is supposedly dressed as The Velveteen Rabbit which Monica refers to as his favorite childhood book (though she was not able get the right color for him). It's also the book that he bought Kathy for her birthday.
- Cassandra Truth: Chandler lets Ross win the arm wrestling match for Ross, but nobody thinks he's telling the truth.
- Dude, Where's My Respect?: Bad enough that Chandler is stuck in a pink bunny costume, but he feels even worse when all the other friends decide he's the weakest of the six of them. And to top it all off, while he throws the match to make Ross look good to Mona, Monica doesn't believe him when he admits he let Ross win later on.
- Embarrassing Animal Suit: For the Halloween party, Chandler is stuck wearing a pink bunny outfit Monica got for him.
- Failed a Spot Check: Chandler lays this into Monica for her failure to get him a good costume. She wanted to get him a bunny costume to reflect his favorite book, the Velveteen Rabbit, but he bluntly says the title character was brown and white. Monica points out that the pink bunny was the only one she could get for him; it was either that or no bunny at all.
- Halloween Episode: The only one in the show's ten year run too.
- Hypocritical Humor: Joey says Halloween is stupid since it involves you dressing up and pretending to be something else. Chandler immediately points this out when he reminds Joey he's an actor.
- Little Black Dress: Rachel's "costume" for the party is a nice black dress. When Monica tells her she was supposed to dress up Rachel explains she's "woman who wants to use her dress before she's too pregnant to fit into it". Monica lets it go on the condition that she gets to borrow the dress when Rachel can't wear it anymore.
- Love Makes You Dumb: Eric falls for Ursula and ends up immediately believing several of her lies. He's not happy when Phoebe reveals the truth.
- Mistaken for Gay: It turns out that Rachel thinks Gunther is, continuing to be oblivious to the crush he has on her.
- My God, What Have I Done?: Rachel ends up making a trick-or-treater cry and immediately feels guilty. At the end of the episode she reveals she made amends by giving him $50 and accompanying him to a few houses pretending to be his girlfriend.
- Naughty Nurse Outfit: When Mona shows up at the party in a nurse's outfit Chandler assumes she dressed as a Slutty Nurse. Mona quickly corrects him that she's just dressed as a regular nurse.
- Ungrateful Bastard: Chandler intentionally loses the arm wrestling match to help Ross impress Mona. When he admits to Monica he threw the match she thinks he's lying, and when he asks Ross to return the favor and admit the truth he refuses to back him up.
