Ross feels insecure when his girlfriend Elizabeth goes to spring break. Monica, Chandler and Phoebe get competitive finding a date for Rachel. Joey tries to get his friends to pay for his broken-down fridge.

- Barely-There Swimwear: Ross is helping Elizabeth pack for spring break when he finds a tiny bikini top among her clothes.Ross: I'm just here to be supportive, to make sure you're... what is this?

Ross: [holds up swimsuit] Is this? - Hollywood Mid-Life Crisis: After watching Elizabeth board an airplane with a bunch of attractive men her own age, Ross ends up going with them and is filmed at a Wild Teen Party in The Tag.
- Idiot Ball: Ross. Did he not realise that if he is on MTV with Elizabeth, a student on a spring break, his students or colleagues could've spotted him and found out about their relationship?
- Insane Troll Logic: When Joey goes up to Phoebe and demands that she pay him money for supposedly breaking his fridge she comments that, since she send out happy thoughts on his last ten auditions, he actually owes her six hundred dollars. She also thinks that giving Joey four hundred dollars for his fridge is an even trade.
- Metaphorgotten: When telling Chandler that he owes him money for his broken down fridge, despite not living there anymore, Joey tries to use an analogy as if they were a divorced couple fighting for custody of a kid. He quickly gives up on the pretense and just demands Chandler pays him by the end.Joey: Suppose we were a divorced couple, and I got custody of the kid. Now suppose the kid dies, and, and I gotta go buy a new kid.
Chandler: ...Okay?
Joey: (Beat) GIVE ME FOUR HUNDRED DOLLARS! - The Peeping Tom: Phoebe mentions that while giving her guy a massage she once took a peek at his junk which she apparently does a lot with her clients. Chandler is rather horrified by this since she also gives him massages.
- Take a Third Option: Instead of choosing either of Monica or Phoebe's choices for a date, Rachel decides to go alone, and ends up having a good time.
- The Unfettered: When Rachel calls out Monica, Chandler and Phoebe for driving Sebastian out, this doesn't stop them from finding her date, regardless of whether she likes it or not.
