This is the episode guide from Fangbone!, the Animated Adaptation of Michael Rex's Fangbone! Third Grade Barbarian books. The series is about a nine-year-old barbarian named Fangbone, who comes to Earth from the world of Skullbania to safeguard the magical toe of the evil wizard, Venomous Drool, with the help of an ordinary kid named Bill.


Episodes

1. Warbrute of Friendship: Fangbone and Bill both want to get a new electric guitar called Warbrute and Venomous Drool exploits this disagreement by using a magical parasite to mind control Bill's teacher, Ms. Gillian, and violently turn the two friends against each other.note 

2a. The Squeak of Might: Bill gets a Skullbanian spirit beast companion called a Squee-Claw, but is disappointed to find it is small and fluffy, so he decides to summon himself a new spirit beast — a dangerous Tar Dragon.

2b. The Lies of Truth: Fangbone and Bill encounter a lost Skullbanian clan living on Earth in disguise as medieval re-enactors and enlist their help to battle against Venomous Drool’s Undefeatable Dreadhorn.

3a. The Polluted Light of Destiny: Thanks to Venomous Drool, Fangbone sees the Moonbear of No Tomorrow in the stars — a Skullbanian omen of death — and believes it is his destiny to die at the hands of the monster.

3b. The Warwagon of Trust: Bill convinces Fangbone to take a break, while he takes care of the Toe. But when he ends up losing the Toe, Bill must race against Venomous Drool's Warwagon to find it and regain Fangbone's trust.

4a. The Thundercrush of Responsibility: Fangbone earns enough battle trophies to get his own battle-beast — a Thundercrush. However, he doesn't understand that it needs to be shown affection and not treated as a weapon.

4b. The Goat of More Goat: Venomous Drool unleashes the Mo-Ar Go-At, a curse that turns everyone it infects into goats, and decrees to Bill and Fangbone that they will only get the antidote if they hand over the Toe.

5a. The Swamp of Education: Fangbone and Bill put some swamp animals in a bucket for a school project, but when the Toe falls into the bucket, the school is turned into a giant swamp and Ms. Gillian into a frog monster.

5b. The Ballad of Meh: Bill is disappointed that his and Fangbone's battles against evil will not be remembered by Skullbania until Venomous Drool sends the mystical bard Melodica, the Lady of the Lute, after them.

6. The Duck of Always: Bill questions whether he is worthy of helping Fangbone protect the Toe while the pair must battle two different foes at once — Venomous Drool's newest minion, the Duck of Always, and Cid, a Skullbanian thief from an organization called the Shadowsteppers.

7a. The Cavity of Terror: When Fangbone comes down with a toothache, he is forced to admit to being afraid of dentists. This in turn inspires Venomous Drool to send the monster Toothsbane to defeat Fangbone and capture Bill.

7b. The Sickness of Home: Bill and Fangbone go on an overnight trip to a museum and discover a Skullbanian relic that a homesick Fangbone uses to turn the museum into a replica of Skullbania — complete with a Razorworm!

8a. The Future of Mom: Bill accidentally squashes the Toe between the pages of his mom's high school yearbook and ends up creating an alternate timeline where she is the Toe-keeper instead of Fangbone and Bill.

8b. The Ball of Clobbering: Fangbone decides to toughen up Bill and his classmates by teaching them a painful Skullbanian game called Clobberball, and Venomous Drool responds by having his monsters challenge them to it.

9a. The Rowboat of Dibby: Bill's wannabe robot classmate Dibby uses the Toe to transform himself into a real robot so that he can help Bill and Fangbone battle Venomous Drool's latest monster, the Porcupenguin.

9b. The Necktie of Change: When Fangbone is forced to dress all fancy and proper for school photo day, the Toe's evil magic transforms him from a fearsome barbarian kid to a polite and sophisticated boy named Fred Bone.

10a. The Leg of Broken: Fangbone breaks his leg during a battle with the forces of Venomous Drool, so Bill and his classmates volunteer to help him protect the Toe in his place, to Fangbone's own reluctance.

10b. The Iron Fist of Bruce: Fangbone tells Principal Bruce all about Skullbania, inspiring him to establish a Skullbanian Heritage Day in order to make Fangbone feel welcome. However, things end up getting carried away.

11a. The Helmit of Durling: After a battle with Venomous Drool's troll soldiers, Bill takes a helmet as a trophy, but it turns out to be the cursed Helmet of Dulling, which makes its wearer extremely strong but extremely stupid.

11b. The House of Leaving: When Bill convinces Fangbone to stay inside all day, Venomous Drool curses the house so Fangbone will develop Hovelfroth, an affliction that causes cooped-up Skullbanians to become feral.

12. The Field Trip of Mayhem: Fangbone takes Bill's class on a field trip to Skullbania under the orders of his clan's chieftain Axebear to fulfill a rare opportunity to destroy the Toe. However, Fangbone finds that on Skullbania he must decide whether his loyalty lies with his leader or his friends.

13a. The Mom of No Return: Bill's mom discovers that her son and Fangbone's battles against Venomous Drool's monsters are not at all make-believe, horrifying her into forbidding Bill from hanging with Fangbone.

13b. The Back of Stone: Skullbania's legendary hero Stoneback the Solid suddenly appears to take the task of Toe-keeper from Fangbone, and a star-struck Fangbone eagerly agrees to it. However, Bill is suspicious of Stoneback.

14a. The Bucket of Goblins: Fangbone's lair comes down with a massive infestation of Goblins driven out of Skullbania by Venomous Drool, and the disgusting little creatures take the Toe from him for themselves.

14b. The Bill of Magic: Bill develops the ability to cast magic from prolonged exposure to the Toe's magical power, but when he decides to take some magical shortcuts in learning his new powers, he begins to age rapidly.

15a. The Present of Feathers: Bill and Fangbone have to make it back to Bill's house so that Bill can deliver his mom's birthday presents, but Venomous Drool's Feather-Phoenix interferes with their journey back home.

15b. The Waffle of Iron: When a magical sentient axe used by one of Venomous Drool's orc soldiers comes into contact with Bill's waffle iron, the spirit inside the weapon ends up inhabiting Bill's waffle iron instead.

16a. The Drool of Young: Venomous Drool conducts a magical ritual on himself to purge his body of goodness, causing the Toe to spawn a child version of Drool that Bill and Fangbone try to befriend and convert from evil.

16b. The Kat of Munching: When Fangbone becomes addicted to a video game called Munchie-Kat, Venomous Drool brings the game's character to life to consume Fangbone's life (figuratively) and everything else (literally).

17a. The Twinkle of Stick: Parent-teacher night comes to Bill's school, and since Fangbone's real parents are away on a lengthy quest, he and Bill must get the wizard Twinkle-stick to pretend to be Fangbone's father.

17b. The Burg of Lar: Cid returns to steal the Toe from Bill and Fangbone again, but this time however, the heroes might need to team up with Cid to prevent her rival and fellow Shadowstepper Kale from also taking the Toe.

18a. The Hound of Hounding: Bill accidentally melts Fangbone's most prized sword and lies about it, which consequently summons the Hound of Hounding, a Skullbanian demon dog that feeds on the guilt of the guilt-ridden.

18b. The Defeat of Glory: After hearing stories of his many victories, a legendary Skullbanian warrior named Hammerscab comes to Earth to challenge Fangbone — an opportunity that Fangbone is all too eager to accept.

19a. The Forehead of Despair: An accident causes the Toe to become magically attached to Bill's forehead, and as a result, Bill finds himself slowly turning green and becoming mentally linked with Venomous Drool's evilness.

19b. The Mall of Doom: Bill and his classmates take Fangbone to the local mall to buy him proper Earth clothes, but Venomous Drool interferes with their day to unleash his newest monster, the Pigataur, on them.

20. The Breaker of Oaths: Bill makes a deal with Venomous Drool to rescue Fangbone from Skullbania's afterlife, the Nightlands, and give him the Toe in return. But when Bill backs out of the agreement and sends Drool to the Nightlands instead, he suffers the magical consequences of breaking a Skullbanian oath-vow.

21a. The Pitch of Black: Fangbone attempts to train Bill and his classmates in Skullbanian outdoor survival by taking them camping in the park, but Venomous Drool attacks them with a living shadow monster.

21b. The Keeper of Toe: Realizing that Fangbone feels lonely without anybody to relate to his Toe-keeper duties, Bill invites a former keeper of one of Venomous Drool's other body parts to help Fangbone feel better.

22a. The Groan of Up: Twinkle-Stick gives Bill and Fangbone magical helmets to take over the bodies of adult barbarians and fulfill a mission, but when the two quickly become intoxicated by the thrill of their experience.

22b. The Shadow of Bill: Fangbone and Bill discover that Cid has made herself at home in Fangbone's lair after being banished from the Shadowsteppers and now must work with her to stop Venomous Drool's Dire Razorworm.

23a. The Fred of Bone: Fred Bone returns when Fangbone uses the Toe's magic to split himself into two people so that he can concentrate on training against Venomous Drool's monsters while Fred Bone attends school in his place.

23b. The Star of Gold: An overworked and unappreciated Ms. Gillian is accidentally transported to Skullbania and is imprisoned by Venomous Drool in his lair, prompting Bill and Fangbone to go off and rescue her.

24a. The Brothers of Battle: Realizing that the combined strength of Bill's brains and Fangbone's brawn are the reason for his defeats, Venomous Drool creates evil doppelgangers of Bill and Fangbone to steal the Toe.

24b. The Pizzas of Day: When Venomous Drool uses his magic to transform various things kids enjoy into monsters, Fangbone outlaws fun from the lives of Bill and his classmates in a misguided effort to protect them.

25a. The Cheeks of Darkness: Stoneback's legendary sword Glimmerslash falls from the sky and, to Fangbone's disappointment, it chooses Bill as its wielder in order to defeat a monster called the Ravenous Darkness.

25b. The Forging of Friendship: Skullbania's barbarians and the Shadowsteppers gather for annual negotiations, and in order to help them make peace, Bill and Fangbone recount the story of how they first met and became friends.

26. The End of the Beginning: In the Grand Finale, Venomous Drool is told by a mysterious voice to take matters into his own hands by using a powerful artifact called the World Chain to merge Earth and Skullbania into a single reality so that he can enter Earth without losing his magic powers and get his Toe back once and for all.
