- Orphaned Punchline: The only part of the dirty joke we get to hear is the punchline, "...P.S.: Your vagina's in the sink!" The setup for the joke is revealed in the uncensored version.note
- Required Spinoff Crossover: The search takes Peter, Quagmire, and Joe to Stoolbend, where they reunite with Cleveland and briefly talk to Gus the bartender. Donna, Cleveland Jr., and Rallo appear during a scene at their house.

- To get Peter to again hear the joke, Quagmire pays Freddy Krueger to tell it to him during a dream.
- Cleveland chasing after the car parodies the What's Happening!! intro.
- Silly Simian: Peter invokes this trope by ending the episode with Stock Footage of a monkey scratching himself.
- Stock Footage: The episode ends with live-action footage of a monkey scratching his balls.
- Toilet Humour: The dirty joke that gets the ball rolling is so funny that Peter consistently craps his pants every time he hears it. Quagmire and Joe delight at using this against him, at least until Peter wears a pair of Quagmire's pants.
- Trailers Always Spoil: Cleveland's appearance is supposed to be a twist, but it was featured in the Fox promo, and the writers saw that coming.Cleveland: Hey, fellas.
