Principal Shephard fatshames Chris during a morning announcement and is quickly fired, only to move in with the Griffins after Peter and Lois finds him panhandling on the street and living out of his car. Meanwhile, Stewie has created a children's book series based on Brian.

- The Dog Bites Back: After Stewie making a series of humiliating books (Flunky the Dumb White Dog) about Brian and making him look like an idiot in court, he gets his revenge on Stewie by creating his own series of children's books that humiliates Stewie and gets it just as popular as Stewie's series — Swishy the Football Baby.
- Fat and Proud: Peter at first refuses to address Principal Shepherd's fat-shaming comments, as he's planning on using Chris' enormous girth to win the "Biggest Boy" competition at the state fair. An Imagine Spot shows Chris taking the prize and proudly dancing wearing nothing but his "Biggest Boy" sash.
- Hypocritical Humor:
- When she tries to get Principal Shepherd fired for making rude comments about Chris's weight, Lois makes a few jokes at the expense of Chris.
- When Chris first returns home from school crying, Peter mistakenly calls him "Keith". Lois chastises him for the mistake, only to immediately turn to Meg and ask "Mary, what happened?"
- Is This Thing Still On?: The plot is kicked off by Principal Shepherd accidentally leaving the intercom on and fat-shaming Chris to the entire school.
- Laser-Guided Karma: Shepherd originally losing his job is extremely well deserved, as his cruel comments towards Chris are awful and almost unforgivable. It's only by proving his value as an educator that he can redeem himself.
- Malaproper: Chris manages to misread almost every word in the morning announcements. Instead of "Good morning, everyone. The student council meeting..." he reads, "God movement, angle bird. The stagnant cancer muting..."
- Moral Myopia: Stewie has no qualms publicly humiliating Brian with his book, but he gets very angry when Brian does the same to him.
- Rogue Juror: Spoofed.Judge: Mr. Foreman, has the jury reached a verdict?
Mr. Foreman: We have not, your honor. We all felt we need another night at the Hyatt with free HBO.
Judge: That free HBO was just a preview — it ended today.
Mr. Foreman: We have a verdict, your honor. - Serious Business: Peter thinks the annual "Biggest Boy" competition at the state fair is just as, if not more, important than comforting his distraught son.
- Take That!: This episode pokes fun at outrage culture. Lois says "it's 2020 and nothing is okay" and Shephard's boss fires him for fat-shaming Chris, but wouldn't have been able to do more than "offer thoughts and prayers" if Chris had been the victim of a school shooting.
- Write What You Know: In-universe, Stewie uses his experiences with Brian as a Know-Nothing Know-It-All to write a book about his lack of intellect, while Brian writes a book about an Ambiguously Gay baby with a football-shaped head inspired by Stewie.
- You Are Fat: Principal Shephard's comments about Chris' weight kick off the main plot.
