El Pincho
The team searches for a notorious Colombian drug lord after he escapes from a U.S. prison. Also, Kristin begins to open up to her ex-husband about her past.
Tropes:
- Boom, Headshot!: Jess kills Luis this way.
- The Dreaded: Estevan Maldonado.
- Facial Horror: The pilot of the the helicopter that Maldonado and Simmich escape in which crashes from being shot. His face is not shown however, but probably for the best.
- Hellish Copter: The helicopter that Maldonado and Simmich escape in crashes due to the gunfire from the other prison guards.
- Kill and Replace: Father Ashton was killed by Luis prior to Maldonado's escape.
- Killed Offscreen: Simmich fatally stabbed his wife before going to work. Also, Father Ashton (see the above).
- Mugged for Disguise: Luis kills Father Ashton for his credentials.
- Naughty Narcs: Greg Galson. Turns out he has been in league with the Zapotec cartel and fathered a son with Maldonado's "wife" Emiliana after falling in love with her.
- Nothing Is Scarier: Maldonado and Simmich invade the home of a prison guard and a personal friend of Simmich's named John Langtry and kill him, shortly before holding his wife Amy at gunpoint. They force her to reveal where her daughter Katie is hiding, and El Pincho drags her out of that spot as she can only scream in horror. While the body of the guard is found by authorities, his wife and daughter are never found, and their fates are left unknown. Considering what El Pincho is known to do to his victims however, their fates don't look too good.
- Scary Black Man: Charles Simmich on some level.
- Sinister Minister: Luis poses as Father Ashton in the beginning of the episode.
