- Anachronism Stew: Played for Laughs. Risky owns the 1984 Summer Olympic torch, though this episode is set during the school year. Somehow, this doesn't impress Drew.
- Earn Your Happy Ending: Chris, after losing so many debates and nearly losing his only friend, wins the election and becomes Class President.
- Exact Words: The story of the boy that went in his mother's purse.
Mother: "Did you go in my purse?"
Boy: "NO! No.."
Mother: "What?"
Boy: "No!"
Mother: "Tell the truth, baby, I'll let you go!"
Boy: "Okay.. I did!"
Mother: "(to her husband) Drop his ass."
(the father drops his son)
Mother: "I told you I'd let you go!"
- Insane Troll Logic: Drew finds $10, and goes to Risky to find something to spend it on. He eventually decides on a wallet.. to put the ten dollars in.. for ten dollars.
- Unusually Uninteresting Sight: Risky (somehow) owns the torch for the 1984 Summer Olympics, which is actually lit when he picks it up! Drew couldn't care less, which confuses Risky.
