Go To

A Wedding Episode that acts as the Framing Story for Smurfette's remembrance of Laconia and Woody's wedding, making this an adaptation of The Smurfs (1981) cartoon show special "Smurfily Ever After".

This story provides examples of:

  • Adaptation Expansion: This story adds elements and characters that were not part of the original story.
  • Continuity Nod:
    • Gargamel refers to the Smurfs' magic flute from "The Magic Flute With Six Holes".
    • Tailor tells Woody about Papa Smurf's wedding to his would-be bride Flowerbell from the cartoon show episode "Papa's Wedding Day".
  • Foreshadowing: Smurfette feeling her health start to deteriorate in the present time of the story, which serves as a hint to her fate as seen by Empath in "Days Of Future Smurfed".
  • Give Away the Bride: Empath's friend Duncan McSmurf does the honors with Empath's daughter Psycheliana during her wedding with Miracle Smurf, since Empath himself is the presiding minister.
  • I'm a Doctor, Not a Placeholder: Tailor to Woody when he asks whether there will ever be a problem at his wedding: "I'm only a clothes maker, not a fortune teller, Woody."
  • Psychic Dreams for Everyone: In this adaptation, Acorn the Pussywillow Pixie dreams that the Smurfs and their friends will be in danger at the upcoming wedding. Elderberry takes the dream seriously and tells it to Papa Smurf, who then has Hefty and Duncan McSmurf be on the watch for anything suspicious happening.
  • Stag Party: A G-rated version of this happens in this adaptation, where Woody gets drunk and has to be carried to Duncan's home in order to sleep off the booze.
  • Wedding Episode: For Miracle (formerly Baby Smurf) and Psycheliana, Empath's daughter.
