Go To

Original release date: November 24, 2023.

K. Lumsy contacts K. Rool for the first time in a long while, telling him that he is invited to spend the weekend at his private island, and that DK and his friends are also invited. Things appear to be going well at first, with everyone having a great time, but then an organization known as the Snowmads break into K. Lumsy's house, claiming that he owns them a large sum of money. After K. Lumsy explains that he has no money, the Snowmads give him one day to gather everything, and take K. Rool as a hostage for ransom. The Kongs are left having to figure out a way to gather the money and free K. Rool.

Tropes

  • Abusive Parents: H. K. Rool was perfectly okay with lending a large sum of money to K. Lumsy... but immediately changes his mind when he learns that the money is for freeing K. Rool from ransom.
  • Beware the Silly Ones: Chunky is usually incapable of harming anyone and gets easily scared of everything, but Waldough threatening to kill him and his friends after the exchange goes south causes him to lose his temper and start attacking the Snowmads, and he proves to be a very competent fighter.
  • The Bus Came Back: K. Lumsy returns after having last appeared in "Gold Diggers". So do the Snowmads, who show up with a new design.
  • The Cassandra: K. Rool distrusts K. Lumsy throughout his whole stay, believing it to be another trick of his, but everyone tells him he is just being paranoid. Surely enough, the Snowmads break into K. Lumsy's house, where they reveal he stole money from them under K. Rool's name. If that wasn't enough, the Snowmads take K. Rool hostage for ransom.
  • Dark Action Girl: Harriet. She is by far one of the cruelest and most violent members of the Snowmads.
  • Designated Girl Fight: Harriet constantly shows hostility towards Dixie, and they eventually have a physical fight during the brawl against the Snowmads, and Dixie wins with a little help from Katryna.
  • Dirty Coward: K. Lumsy is one to the end, being very comfortable with throwing other people under the bus if it means he will not face any consequences. Look no further than him running away with the money the Kongs were going to use to free K. Rool for ransom and almost getting them all killed.
  • Disproportionate Retribution: Due to being told that he is no Snowmad Material, as well as being called "Dennis The Menace", Kiddy blows up Waldough's ship after escaping with his friends, killing everyone still on board in the process.
Kiddy: Who's not Snowmad material now?
  • Dreadful Musician: Chunky's, and later on K. Rool and K. Lumsy's karaoke session speaks for itself. When the Snowmads break into K. Lumsy's condo and assault K. Rool, Tiny thinks it was because of his dreadful singing.
  • Failed a Spot Check: None of the Kongs thought of looking inside the golden barrels before handing them over to the Snowmads. Moreover, all of them failed to notice the smell of rotten fish emanating from them (granted, the episode implies they thought it was coming from Lanky.
  • Groin Attack: Tiny does this to incapacitate one Snowmad soldier after using her looks to distract him.
  • Heroic Seductress: Tiny actively uses her looks to her advantage in the fight against the Snowmads, charming two of the soldiers, and once they have let their guard down, she kicks one in the crotch, takes his weapon, and procceeds to attack the other with it.
  • Human Popsicle: K. Rool was left in one of the Snowmads Ice Cells for the weekend, almost turning him into this. Not being given a toilet and Harriet constantly pouring toilet water over him definitely didn't help.
  • Hostage Situation: Because K. Lumsy doesn't have any money to pay the Snowmads, Waldough orders his grunts to kidnap K. Rool and hold him hostage for ransom.
  • Ironic Death: Pyro mentions that he is at least curious as to what being lit on fire would feel like. In the end, he, Hootz, and the rest of the crew sans Waldough, Archy, Harriet, and Sphen die when Waldough's ship explodes, courtesy of Kiddy.
  • It's All About Me: K. Lumsy's mindset. He always puts himself above everyone, and is constantly screwing other people over just so he won't have to take responsibility for anything, no matter what the outcome for the person he is screwing over might be.
  • Jerk with a Heart of Jerk: K. Lumsy. While his intentions of inviting K. Rool and his employees to his private island for the weekend might have been out of kindness, the reveal that he had borrowed an expensive ship from the Snowmads under K. Rool's name (and that he has been borrowing money from them under K. Rool's name ever since they were young), causing K. Rool to be taken as a hostage, and then running away with the ransom money the Kongs were going to pay Waldough with, almost getting them killed in the process, automatically shatters the idea that he is a good person.
  • Let's Get Dangerous!: Chunky, normally a Cowardly Lion Gentle Giant, is the first one to lose his temper with Waldough after he orders them and K. Rool killed, and begins attacking his minions, prompting the rest of the crew to figth as well.
  • Life Saving Misfortune: Being thrown in the sea by the Kongs saved Waldough, Archy, Harriet and Sphen from dying in an explosion alongside the rest of the ship's crew.
  • Mad Bomber: Pyro, who is obsessed with explosions and lighting things on fire. In the end, that's also how he and many members of the Snowmads die.
  • Karma Houdini: On the night prior to exchange, K. Lumsy replaced all the gold with rotten fish and ran off with the real gold, facing no consequences for any of his selfish actions.
  • Meaningful Name: Pyro has an obsession with anything that's flammable.
  • Parental Substitute: Katryna admits to her uncle K. Rool that he has been more of a father to her than her actual father, K. Ross, has ever been.
  • Putting the Pee in Pool: Lanky, who pees while inside of K. Lumsy's pool, much to the disgust of his friends.
  • Replaced with Replica: On the night before the day of the exchange, K. Lumsy steals all the gold on the barrels stolen from H. K. Rool, fills them with rotten fish, and runs off before DK and his friends realize. This almost ends up costing them their and K. Rool's lives.
  • Shout-Out: One of the Snowmads, being charmed by Tiny's looks, asks her if she can give him her bathwater, referencing the "gamer girl bathwater" meme that went viral in 2019.
  • Sequel Hook: The ending of the episode has Waldough reporting the loss of his ship, most of his crew and the money to his superior. Said superior turns out to be Lord Fredrick, who vows vengeance against the Kongs.
  • Skewed Priorities: Kip would rather invest two hundred-thousand dollars in sports car and other luxuries than paying for the ransom to get his uncle back.
  • Super Spit: When seeing Pyro attempting to throw a bomb at Chunky while his guard is down, Lanky drinks the contents of a nearby barrel of grape juice and spits it at Pyro, incapacitating him.
  • The Smurfette Principle: Harriet is the only female member of the Snowmads. She's also one of the cruelest members to boot.
