After the truth was revealed at the end of ''Season of the Splicer," Savathun's impersonation of Osiris has come to an end. Mara Sov binds Savathun in crystal and a bargain is struck. She will free Savathun of her Worm in exchange for Osiris's safe return. Mara Sov agrees but informs the Guardian that she will need her Techeuns in order to properly perform the ritual to sever Savathun from her worm. The Guardian will have to strike out into the Shattered Realm to find them and return them to Mara Sov.
Season of the Lost contains examples of:
- The Bad Guy Wins: Savathun gets exactly what she wanted. She played Mara Sov like a fiddle and got her worm exorcised.
- Big "NO!": Saint-14 lets out a few of these upon seeing Osiris start to transform into Savathun
- I Hate Past Me: Crow is deeply horrified to learn about his past life as Uldren Sov and the horrible things done by Uldren.
- Internal Reveal: Crow finally learns about his past life as Uldren Sov, and is deeply shaken by it.
- The Reveal: Osiris has been Savathun in disguise this whole time, and she was using this to fan the flames of conflict in the Last City during Season of the Splicer.
