  • And Now You Must Marry Me: King Sandy plots to kidnap and marry Numbuh 3. She goes along with it at first, thinking they're just playing pretend.
  • Believing Their Own Lies: Throughout the episode, Numbuh 4 justifies his desperation to rescue Numbuh 3 as her owing him a quarter which absolutely no one who hears that excuse believes. At the end of the episode, he actually asks her for a quarter, prompting her to protest that she doesn't owe him a quarter.
  • Berserk Button: Any time someone points out he’s not a king or old enough to get married, King Sandy angrily shouts he’s not pretending.
  • Busman's Holiday: This was supposed to be a relaxing day at the beach for Numbuhs 2-5. Numbuh 1, inversely, can't find any missions to do at the Treehouse.
  • Dramatic Irony: Numbuh 1 ditches his team at the beach under the assumption it would be boring, and he'd rather be on a mission. The team winds up getting an impromptu mission when Numbuh 3 gets kidnapped by King Sandy's knights.
  • Epic Fail: The last-minute catapult launches a beachball that harmlessly bounces off the castle's wall. The knights fall over laughing in response to this.
Numbuh 2: It was short notice.
  • Everyone Has Standards: Numbuh 3 only goes along with the wedding because she thinks Sandy is just playing pretend. She's shocked when she finds out he's serious.
  • Heroic BSoD: Numbuh 4 goes into a severe funk when Numbuh 3 shouts, "I'm getting married!" He passes out for a while and wakes up partway into the ceremony.
  • Irony: Numbuhs 2, 4, & 5 consider bringing in Numbuh 1 to assist with rescuing Numbuh 3, but decide not to reasoning he's most likely busy with other missions. Cut back to Numbuh 1 at the treehouse, where Numbuh 65.3 says he has no missions for him and suggests he take the day off and head to the beach. Numbuh 1 bangs his head on the console in response.
  • Kissing In A Tree: When Numbuh 4 says this situation is personal, Numbuhs 2 and 5 start singing this to annoy him.
  • My God, You Are Serious!: Numbuh 3's reaction to Sandy trying to marry her isn't him playing pretend.
  • Oh, Crap!: This exchange:
Lifeguard/Minister: Uh, when's this wedding thing gonna be over, dudes? I gotta get back to lifeguard duty before high tide.
Numbuhs 2 and 5: HIGH TIDE?!
  • Palatial Sandcastle: Sandy has one.
  • Punctuated! For! Emphasis!: During the duel, Numbuh 4 does this with each strike.
Sandy: You must love the fair princess very much, but she's mine!
Numbuh 4: She! Just! Owes! Me! A! Quarter!
  • She Is Not My Girlfriend: Why is Numbuh 4 so adamant about saving Numbuh 3 from Sandy. Well, it's not that he likes her, it's, uh, because she owes him a quarter! Yeah!
  • Workaholic: Numbuh 1 can't stand being at the beach. He gladly leaves to find a mission of some sort to go on and says he'll be back in a few hours to pick up the others.
  • You Keep Telling Yourself That: Numbuh 4's repeated insistence that he only cares about Numbuh 3 owing him a quarter gets him this reaction from his friends and even the knights.
