The final battle for all life begins as the heroes, along with the UFN forces and Decepticon defectors, fight through Terrorcons and any remaining Decepticons to stop Megatron's Neo-Ragnarök and save Nunnally and Cera.

  • Back from the Dead: The Driller is resurrected as a Terrorcon thanks to Dark Energon.
  • The Big Damn Kiss: Kallen and Lelouch finally have one before the latter goes into the Sword of Akasha for the final confrontation with Megatron.
  • Character Death: Smilas dies when his mobile base gets obliterated by the Terrorcon-Driller's debut.
  • Cliffhanger: The chapter ends with Megatron snatching both Cera and Nunnally, taking them both to the Sword of Akasha, with Optimus, Lelouch and a couple of their allies heading there to stop him with Marianne helping them enter, as per Steeljaw's suggestion. However, neither Kallen nor Arcee is convinced or impressed by Steeljaw's attempts to weasel his way out of their questioning and blow up the Artificial Thought Elevator behind their backs, causing an angry Steeljaw to charge at both.
  • Dirty Coward: Slipstream flees the planet instead of helping fight Megatron, not wanting to rust in a cell if the Autobots win.
  • Dynamic Entry: Grimlock arrives just in time from a Groundbridge to save the Grandberry-II from being taken down by the Predacon.
  • Final Battle: The final confrontation between the Autobot-Black Knight Alliance and the Decepticons starts here.
  • For Science!: Shockwave reveals that the reason he's helping with Neo-Ragnarok despite the fact that he'll lose his free will too is because being merged into a Hive Mind will give him access to all knowledge in the universe, which is what he's always desired.
  • Hope Spot: A brief one occurs Lelouch’s party manages to slip inside Darkmount, and reach Steeljaw, Cera and Nunnally. They come within seconds of rescuing the girls, only for Megatron to come barging in via Groundbridge, snatch up the girls and race away.
  • It Has Been an Honor: Sayoko says this to Lelouch before the charge into the Sword of Akasha, with him returning the sentiment.
  • Mass "Oh, Crap!": The Autobot/Black Knight Alliance's (especially Warpath's) reaction to the resurrected Driller.
  • Screw This, I'm Outta Here:
    • One Vehicon tries to do this in the opening scene, not wanting to stick around and get blown to pieces. He is killed by Steeljaw before he can get the chance.
    • Slipstream flees the planet before the battle starts, stating that although she prefers to keep her free will she also wants to keep her overall freedom and isn't interested in helping the Autobots win if she's just going to get thrown in a cell afterwards.
  • Take a Third Option: Slipstream isn't interesting in Megatron winning and taking all free will, but is concerned that she'll become a prisoner if the Autobots win. So, after sabotaging Megatron's defenses, she flees the planet to find somewhere new to hide.
  • Tempting Fate: Tamaki makes the mistake of wondering out loud what else could Megatron throw at them after unleashing the Predacon and an army of Terrorcons. Cue the reanimated Driller wrecking havoc on the battlefield.
