When Rudy doesn't find the colored pens he wants under his family's Christmas tree during an argument with his parents, he skips the family yuletide celebration and goes to the ChalkZone holiday festival where he accidentally endangers Christmas there.

- So Proud of You: Rudy’s dad tells him, “Great work, son!” when he surprises the family in his Santa costume, pleased that not only has Rudy changed his attitude and gotten in the Christmas spirit, but has also started a brand new tradition for the Tabootie family.

- True Meaning of Christmas: Rudy starts off by having quite a Grinch-like attitude and fighting with his parents because his dad told him he won’t be seeing the expensive drawing pens he wanted under the tree. However, throughout the episode, he comes to recognize the importance of Christmas and when he actually does get the pens he wanted in the end, he lets Sophie be the first one to use them.
