Tropes:
- Art Shift: The Maury and Connie segments are done in puppetry, Featuring Ludacris' segment is done in an Animesque style, and Lola's story is done in CGI.
- Be Careful What You Wish For: Andrew yearns to be a Gentile out of jealousy for Nick and his family celebrating Christmas, only for his wish to backfire when he ends up in Hell after he's caught masturbating.
- Child Eater: Mila and Lotte's segment is about a figure named Vader Johan, a nightmarish, chimeric being that comes every Christmas looking for children to eat. He uses the leftover bones as construction material for his flute and underwater castle. Worst still, kids eaten by him don't die, but live on in his stomach, a fate explicitly called worse than death.
- Cold Opening: Averted. This episode doesn't have one, in addition to being a little longer than normal.
- Drowning My Sorrows: Santa does this after his existential crisis.
- Existential Horror: Santa has an existential crisis upon hearing Matthew say he isn't real.
- Interrupted Intimacy: In the North Pole segment, two elves walk into Santa and his wife having sex.
- Mood Whiplash: After staying its normal comedic self, the episode then gets more serious with Featuring Ludacris' segment, which has one of his former owners being shot in the head by people who want to steal the presents that he was going to give to underprivileged puppies.
- Origins Episode: Featuring Ludacris and Santa's segments show how the former came to live with the Bilzerians.
- Product Placement: When saying great things about Christmas, Maury also says that this is the best time to get great deals with Honda.
- Santabomination: Vader Johan is a Dutch Santa-equivalent that murders children and takes their bones.
- Taking the Bullet: Santa takes one in the gut for Featuring Ludacris.
- Vignette Episode: The episode makes us see how the characters celebrate Christmas.
- Vomit Indiscretion Shot: Connie pukes after having too much to drink, the vomit shown is made of colorful pipe cleaners.
