Everybody needs help from time to time.

Do you ever pause to consider your actions at all?

Vilgax hires three bounty hunters to look for the Omnitrix but they apparently don't know the meaning of teamwork.

Tropes:

  • All There in the Manual: The reason Kraab is a cyborg is because he fought in the "Pyros-Piscciss" war. Pyros and Piscciss are the planets of Heatblast's and Ripjaws' species respectively.
  • Are These Wires Important?: Grey Matter defeats Sixsix and Kraab by messing around with their cybernetic body and jetpack respectively.
  • Bag of Holding: Tetrax imprisons Kraab and Sixsix in a container that is initially as big as a house and then shrinks down to the size of a ping pong ball.
  • Be Careful What You Wish For: Gwen says that she will enjoy when someone finally kicks Ben's butt. Her wish comes true in this episode. She even lampshades how she'd rather take back her wish.
  • Bounty Hunter: Sixsix, Kraab and Tetrax are hired by Vilgax to bring him the Omnitrix.
  • Crazy-Prepared: Kraab had a substance that could counteract Ghostfreak's intagibility and special sensors to see him even when he was invisible.
  • Cyborg: According to Word of God, Kraab's body is 95% mechanical.
  • Evil Versus Evil: The bounty hunters constantly antagonize each other to get the full reward. Subverted near the end where it's revealed that Tetrax was good all along and the other two decide to work together and split the reward between them.
  • Foreshadowing: After fighting Kraab as Ghostfreak and changing back, Ben notes that he felt weirder than when he previously turned into Ghostfreak. The Pop-Up Trivia from the enhanced episode even questions if Ben is really in control of Ghostfreak.
    • The Pop-Up Trivia also states that Ghostfreak's ability to move his eye around his body is our first clue that there's more to Ghostfreak that is hiding under his "skin".
  • Ghostly Chill: When Ghostfreak phases through Gwen, she feels cold and her breath condenses.
  • Good All Along: In a way. Tetrax is clearly not working for Vilgax, just using it as an excuse to remove the Omnitrix from Ben's wrist. His intentions are not explained but, given his change of mind when he saw Ben properly using it, it's safe to say he just doesn't want it falling into the wrong hands.
  • If I Wanted You Dead...: Tetrax uses this as proof that he isn't really working for Vilgax.
Diamondhead: And who's side are you on?
Tetrax: You are still alive, aren't you?
  • Internal Reveal: Ben learns that the watch is called the Omnitrix from Krabb
  • Multi-Armed and Dangerous: Sixsix has two little arms on top of his shoulders that he is uses to throw grenades while shooting.
  • Power Pincers: Kraab has one as his left arm, armed with a ray gun and a liquid to solidify protoplasm.
  • Talking Is a Free Action: Double Subverted. When Tetrax explains why the Omnitrix can't be easily removed while giving his back to Diamondhead, he tries to stab him but Tetrax simply punches him and continues talking.
  • The Unintelligible: Sixsix talks in an unknown language but the other bounty hunters understand him just fine.
  • Unskilled, but Strong: Tetrax thinks this of Ben, saying that he barely scratched the surface of the Omnitrix's power and his lack of strategy and knowledge is "disturbing".
  • Villain Team-Up: At the end of the episode, Kraab and Sixsix join forces to take down Tetrax and Ben.
  • Wake-Up Call Boss: The bounty hunters are the first enemies that put Ben on the defensive, forcing him to use his alien transformations strategically instead of just relying on brute force like he usually does.
  • Wham Line: "You're still alive, aren't you?" "You're a good guy?"
  • Wham Shot: Tetrax removing his helmet to reveal he's the same species as Diamondhead.
    • For context, whilst Ben battle Tetrax as Diamondhead, the latter berates Ben using Diamondhead without strategy or training. When Ben asks what makes Tetrax such an expert on this alien, it doesn't get any more justifiable than revealing he is that alien.
  • What the Hell, Hero?: A rather subdued one from Tetrax. He calls Ben out on being so focused on brute strength that it borders on incompetent.
  • Worm Sign: Whenever Kraab makes a tunnel, he leaves a visible mark on the ground.
