I don't think it means what you think it means. - Writers Cannot Do Math: Most of this episode flashes back to the in-universe take on the Roswell incident, and shows Max as a young man serving under a then Major Rozum alongside a pre-time travel Paradox. Only the latter makes sense with past continuity, as Max was previously shown to be turning 60 in the mid-2000s back during the original series (which would make him at most 2 years old in 1947), while Rozum has been shown to middle-aged in the present day in other episodes.
