"Stupid elevator, close already!"

The first episode of Battle for Dream Island: The Power of Two, in which recommended characters Winner and Price Tag join the game, the contestants form their teams, and the featured challenge is to get to the top of the hotel.

This episode contains examples of:

  • Ass Kicks You: Basketball does this in the No-Holds-Barred Beatdown against Two.
  • Beware the Nice Ones: The normally perky and sweet Bell is among the many contestants who joins the No-Holds-Barred Beatdown against Two.
  • Beware the Quiet Ones: Basketball is usually very shy & quiet, but attacks Two with the other contestants.
  • Big "NO!": Done by Snowball when the elevator gets stuck, by Lightning when he thinks that his team's loss is his fault, and by Two when the contestants beat them up.
  • Breaking the Fourth Wall:
    • Grassy and Eggy look up at their team's logo after Snowball names them "The Strongest Team on Earth".
    • Fanny and Lightning look up at their team's logo after Black Hole says, "Let's just be Death P.A.C.T. again."
    • Golf Ball, Puffball and Fries look up at their team's logo after Tennis Ball accidentally names them "Are You Okay".
    • Saw looks up at her team's logo after her Verbal Tic causes her to name them "Team8s!"
    • Winner looks up at their team's logo after Clock suggests the name "The Winners!", but Winner doesn't want their name in the team name, so they become "The S!"
    • All of the members of Just Not (except Pillow) look up at their team's logo after Naily names the team.
    • Cloudy gets hit by the Team8s logo when Two announces that The S! is safe.
  • The Bus Came Back: The EXITors, who had been absent in BFB ever since the show split, make a return in The Stinger.
  • Copycat Mockery: Pillow does it to Book as the latter tells everyone that if they're careful, they won't have a stupid team name.
  • Didn't Think This Through:
    • One that was the case ever since the show's announcement; Two would debut the show by having the viewers vote in a recommended character, but combined with the 40 pre-existing contestants that left BFB this leaves a total of 41 contestants, 41 being a prime number and impossible to divide up into equal teams. As a response, Two also brings on the runner-up, Nonexisty, then replacing him with the third-highest ranking, Price Tag, to reach a divisible 42 contestants.
    • Remote's plan is to climb up the stairs and use Black Hole's gravity to propel themselves to the top. This doesn't work out for a number of reasons.
    • Two fails to recognize that the contestants can't hear them from on top of the hotel and fails to add on the detail that you can't go down again, meaning nobody knows this is a rule.
  • Did You Just Punch Out Cthulhu?: In response to Two failing to successfully add on the rule that you can't go back down, everybody proceeds to beat them up with little trouble despite Two being far stronger than Four.
  • Epic Fail: Winner throws all of their teammates to the top of the building. Snowball tries doing the same, but accidentally leaves Foldy to the mercy of the wind.
  • Exact Words: Pen says their team should be Death P.A.C.T. again, Naily says that her team is just not (going to use a dumb name like the others), Saw tells her team to calm down by saying that they shouldn't be fighting and that they're teamATES, Winner asks for their team name of "The Winners!" not to have their name in it and Tennis Ball responds "Are you okay?" when Golf Ball pauses after saying "Our team name will have to be." Their team names respectively are "Death P.A.C.T. Again", "Just Not", "Team8s", "The S!" and "Are You Okay". Every team barring "The Strongest Team On Earth" came from this trope; "The Strongest Team On Earth" came from Snowball wanting to protect his dignity through his team's name.
  • Foreshadowing:
    • When Two tries to tell everyone that it's time for Cake at Stake, no one can hear them when at top of the building, even when yelling. When explaining the rules of the first challenge, once again, no one can hear the 'No going back down' rule, which causes problems for a few of the teams, before beating Two up for not explaining it right and refusing to take responsibility.
    • While the group is going down in the elevator, PDA can be seen fiddling with the lock in their room with Shopping Cart cheering them on. In The Stinger, Liy decides to once and for all see what is behind the locked door in the EXIT.
  • Giver of Lame Names: Golf Ball chastises Pen for wanting to be called “Death P.A.C.T. Again” and says that their team name will have to be something else, but she realizes that she’s about to name the team something lame and freezes up. Unfortunately for her, Tennis Ball ends up inadvertently naming the team “Are You Okay” when he tries to ask what’s wrong. Cue Face Fault, since Golf Ball has no arms and therefore can't facepalm.
  • Goomba Stomp: Marker does this to Two during the No-Holds-Barred Beatdown against them.
  • It's All My Fault: Lightning blames himself for his team's loss due to being unable to go back down to get his teammates, before realizing that it was really Two's fault due to them not explaining the "no going back down" rule loudly enough.
  • No-Holds-Barred Beatdown: Two suffers one at the hands of the contestants at the end of the episode after they blame them for failing to find a way to tell them about the 'No going back down' rule, and forcing them to learn of it the hard way. We then Smash Cut to Two cheerily telling the audience to vote as if nothing happened.
  • Putting the Band Back Together: When Coiny notices that Donut is free for a team, he drags Pin and Needle with him to recreate W.O.A.H. Bunch. However, Gaty and Barf Bag argue that they (and Saw) having zig-zags overrides this, and Saw accidentally christens the team "Team8s."
  • Remember the New Guy?: As a true fan of Loser, Clock is easily able to recognize his long-forgotten partner Winner and spill their backstory when nobody else knows who they are.
  • Title Drop: Done by Eggy when Basketball tries to press the buttons to close the elevator.
  • To Be Continued: The episode ends with the door of the EXIT opened by Liy. Afterwards, the screen reads "To Be Continued".
  • Wrench Wench: Basketball spends a good portion of the challenge trying to fix the elevator that Snowball had broken.
  • You Didn't Ask: The contestants are complaining about the fact that they had not started yet. Then Two appears out of nowhere, saying, "Well why didn't you say so?". Cue the contestants screaming in shock.
