Eraser and Pin attempt to kill Leafy
The twenty-fifth episode and season 1 finale of the Battle for Dream Island series, in which Firey wins Dream Island. After being rejected from entering Dream Island by Firey, Leafy steals it and is shunned by the others. In a fit of rage, Flower ends up destroying the recovery centers and kills off Bubble, and Woody also ends up dying from a heart attack in a UFO. Just as Leafy is to be executed, Firey ends up saving her.Tropes include:
- Any Last Words?: Golf Ball says this to Leafy just before she and the other contestants attempt to kill her. Leafy tries to speak up, but before she can say anything, Eraser activates the Announcer Crusher.
- Big Damn Hero: Firey, who swoops in with his hang glider to save Leafy just as the other contestants are about to kill her.
- Bittersweet Ending: Firey saves Leafy from an execution attempt by the other contestants, but come BFDIA, Leafy still has a bad reputation among the other contestants.
- Book Ends: The last spoken word of the entire season is the same as the first spoken word.Pencil: Hey, Match, wouldn't it be weird if the very first and very last spoken words of BFDI were the same?Match: Yeah!
- Brought Down to Normal: Rocky stops barfing when a spike ball destroys the Infinite Matter Generator inside his mouth. However, he would later get his barf back in IDFB.
- Butt-Monkey: Leafy is mistreated and is given retribution big time, even nearly getting killed using Flower's Announcer crusher, despite Firey starting it all.
- Chekhov's Gag:
- A commercial by Yellow Face in episode 11 advertises a box of paper slips that he claims can be used to create money. Leafy uses it in order to buy Dream Island.
- The ferris wheel scene with Firey and Leafy in episode 24 ends up being one of the most important scenes in the season. First, it leads to the reveal that Leafy cannot be revived since the Recovery Centers are sold. Then, Leafy is denied access to Dream Island because of this, and this fact kickstarts all the events of this episode.
- Darker and Edgier: Starts off with the usual lighthearted comedy, but takes a darker turn as Firey invites everyone except Leafy onto Dream Island. Then Leafy steals Dream Island, Flower destroys the Recovery Centers, Bubble and Woody are Killed Off for Real, and the contestants attempt to kill Leafy... but luckily, it ends on a happier note as Firey swoops in to save her.
- Everyone Has Standards: Firey hates Coiny, but invites him onto Dream Island anyway.
- Gesundheit: Announcer can no longer pronounce the "k" sound, leading to this exchange when he gives Bubble her consolation prize:Announcer: You get one 'ashew.
Bubble: Bless you!
Announcer: No, I said "'ashew".
Bubble: Wow, you must be allergic to something.
Announcer: 'Ashew, 'ashew, 'ashew.
Leafy: Maybe the Announcer is allergic to this cashew. Here, you can have it, Bubble!
Bubble: Yoylecake! - Gross-Up Close-Up: Of the Infinite Matter Generator inside Rocky's mouth, which is revealed to be the cause of his constant barfing.
- Jerkass Ball: Firey holds this over Leafy wanting to get out of his Ferris wheel because of the lava fall (even though Firey is made of fire, so he can't have a waterfall), passing it onto Leafy.
- Flower as well, killing everyone after not winning, although she was traumatized by being trapped in the TLC for a long time, justifying why she was angry.
- Killed Off for Real: Bubble and Woody. However, Bubble was revived in BFDIA, and Woody returned in IDFB.
- Mass "Oh, Crap!": All the contestants have this reaction when they find out that Dream Island has been stolen.
- Out of Focus: Needle, Spongy, and David do not play any prominent roles in this episode.
- Reaching Between the Lines: Leafy buys Dream Island by sticking a paper slip into her phone to give it to Announcer. In return, Announcer sticks a certificate through his phone to give it to Leafy.
- "The Reason You Suck" Speech: Bubble gives a well-deserved one to Flower:Bubble: Flower, I'm tired of this. [...] I mean, I'm tired of your self-centeredness. I'm tired of the way you act around us. You know what that means? I'm tired of you! [...] Flower, your unpopularity is your own fault. Everyone hates you because we can't stand how you talk only about yourself!
- Riding into the Sunset: The episode ends with Leafy and Firey hang-gliding into the sunset.
- Split-Screen Phone Call: When Leafy calls Announcer to tell him she wants to buy Dream Island.
- Villain Ball: Leafy stealing Dream Island counts as this.
- Wham Episode: Flower bites a chunk off of Announcer, rendering him unable to pronounce the "k" sound. Firey wins Dream Island and bans Leafy from it due to the aforementioned Ferris wheel scene. Leafy then buys Dream Island from the Announcer (without Firey knowing) using Yellow Face's paper slips. Flower destroys the recovery centers, kills Bubble, and then gets crushed by a UFO that abducted multiple contestants earlier. Woody, who was in that UFO, also dies from a heart attack. Then the Announcer escapes with all the knock-off speaker boxes. It ends with the cast finding out what Leafy did and sentencing her to the death penalty, only for Firey to save her at the last minute.
- Wham Line:Leafy: I know. Especially because Firey never received Dream Island at all.
- What Happened to the Mouse?: When Flower first starts destroying recovery centers, Spongy and David do not appear for the rest of the episode.
