Recap / Aqua Teen Hunger Force S 12 E 3 Script Title

Go To

Shake finds himself suffering from writer's block when writing a script for a movie. Thankfully, a robotic coffee machine from the Zenwa Corporation is able to work on the script for Shake. The coffee machine then brings another robotic home appliance for assistance, and then another, and another, until the whole house becomes infested with appliances.

  • Advanced Tech 2000: All the appliances have a thousand number in their name.
  • Downer Ending: The Aqua Teens lose their house, Carl and Frylock are dead, and Meatwad is still presumably trapped inside the Zenwa garbage truck/Transformer. The single bright spot is that Shake of all people is the only who is not maimed or trapped.
  • Dude, Not Funny!: The Zenwa Surveyor isn't at all pleased with the Hypertoaster using the voice of Louis C.K.. The toaster rebuts that it's either this voice or Michael Richards.
  • Failed a Spot Check: Frylock doesn't find any problems with a fully metallic cabin in the middle of the woods.
  • Logic Bomb: After a second set of appliances show up at the house, Frylock deals with them, the original group, and the dozens of others that show up by creating a second movie where every T in the script is replaced with a 2, causing their programming to short-circuit and explode.
  • Matrix Raining Code: During Frylock's making of the second movie, he speaks in binary while the code rains down in the background.
  • Must Have Caffeine: Shake spends three days drinking coffee while waiting for the coffee machine to complete his movie, passing out from the caffiene rush when it's finally done.
  • No Celebrities Were Harmed: The Zenwa appliances have the voices and appearances of famous actors, including William Shatner, Sean Connery, Sylvester Stallone as John Rambo, Al Pacino, Michael Caine, Christopher Walken, Bob Dylan, Louis C.K., and Patrick Stewart.
  • Screw This, I'm Outta Here: Shake jumps out of 2 Wycked to "join the robots" after Frylock says they're going camping with no technology. It ends up saving him from the typical non-canonical deaths he is subjected to.
  • Stylistic Suck: The Script Title made by the appliances consists of a ludicrous plot with Limited Animation and vocal clips reused from the gang to pass off the dialogue as user-generated.
  • Take That!:
    • To AI-generated content and people who use AI to make projects for them. Shake is ultimately too lazy to write his script himself, so the robots write, greenlight, and air an entire movie in the span of days. The end result is an incoherent mess of plot threads and characters.
    • Meatwad tells the coffee bean grinder that he's sick of all the Marvel movies being the most regarded in theaters and wants a throw back to classic and simple theatrical films involving true love.
  • They Killed Kenny Again: Carl and Frylock are crushed after the Zenwa Transformer reverts to its robotic form when they're inside it. Meatwad gets lucky since he's made of meat, and crushing won't do much to harm him.
  • Throw the Dog a Bone: A rare episode where only Shake isn't screwed over by the end. It helps that he wasn't as much of a jerk this time around.
  • Who Writes This Crap?!: Upon taking a look at Shake's script, written by the coffee machine, Frylock points out that the first draft consists entirely of two characters, named "Boy 1" and "Boy 2", drinking coffee.
