The Chosen One is in serious trouble. When he’s under attack by a mysterious group of Stickmen, each with a different animation style and power set, he calls on The Second Coming. But will it be enough? Who are these strange attackers and why are they after The Chosen One?

Tropes:

  • Awesomeness-Induced Amnesia: Implied back in AvA V, but confirmed here as the Second Coming clearly has no idea what the Chosen One is talking about when the latter begs for the former's help.
  • Badass Crew: The four mercenaries chasing after the Chosen One, each of which is drawn in different art style and given different abilities. The fact that the Chosen One is trying to get the Second Coming's aid tells how much of a threat these mercenaries are.
  • Badass in Distress: The Chosen One is relentlessly pursued by a group of mercenaries and is ultimately captured when he gets paused trying to save the Second Coming. He remains paused for the remainder of the episode.
  • Character Overlap: The pixelated stick figure is actually from a classic animation called "Stickman vs. Door", made by a different creator. He uses all the same powers and weapons he had in that animation as well.
  • Cliffhanger: Both the Chosen One and the Second Coming are captured and taken to some sort of secret organization. We see their captors are a team of mercenaries working for the real antagonist.
  • Continuity Cavalcade: The boss's office has a bunch of trophies adorning his room that appear to be old Adobe Flash tools, including a collection of keyframes from the timeline window on a desk behind him—all various nods to Animator Vs. Animation I.
  • Covers Always Lie: The thumbnail suggests that the Stick Gang gets captured and Green gets glitched, but, in reality, the Fighting Stick Figures are barely involved in this episode and only the Second Coming and the Chosen One are captured. The reaction video on the Animators vs Games channel has a more fitting one showcasing the Chosen One facing off against the mercenary group pursuing him.
  • Funny Background Event: As the Chosen One is carrying the Second Coming to the battle, the Fighting Stick Figures are seen falling out of the portal behind them.
  • Heroes Prefer Swords: When the Second Coming prepares to spar with the Animator, he draws all sorts of weapons for him and his friends with his own being the only sword, befitting his role as The Leader of the group.
  • Heroic Second Wind: Subverted. When the Second Coming is paused by one of the mercenaries, the Chosen One gets another surge of power and lunges at the mercenary that did that, only to get paused himself once he's in range.
  • I Want Them Alive!: Implied. The mercenaries are about to finish off the Second Coming when the leader gets some sort of communication, presumably from their boss, and tells the others to stand down. He later finishes the fight by pausing the Second Coming and bringing him back to base alongside the Chosen One.
  • My God, What Have I Done?: The Chosen One eventually realizes that the Second Coming genuinely has no memory of, let alone access to, the powers he used to defeat the Dark Lord, and that he basically dragged a helpless bystander into his fight.
  • Retraux: Some of the mercenary stick figures have art and animation styles that would fit better in a 2010 animation. For instance, what seems to be the leader of the group appears to be a circle and lines drawn with a shape tool rather than the pencil or brush tool, and the pixelated stick figure, who is actually from an existing animation called "stickman VS door", is animated similarly to how victim was in his original animation. The boss's head is redrawn for every frame that it moves instead of reusing the same head for all of the animations. The bowman is a particularly extreme example of this, as it's drawn to resemble a paleolithic cave painting.
  • Stealth Pun: The mercenary leader uses a set of graphic tools as weapons against the Second Coming, who counters with by drawing creatures to life with his pencil. In other words, Animator vs Animation.
  • Wham Shot: The stick figures who were after the Chosen One are revealed to be mercenaries working for another black stickman, greatly implied to be victim, the first stick figure created by Alan.
