Rito Warrior: Revali

Warrior Revali is recruited into the Champions.

Tropes:

  • Adaptational Early Appearance: The carvings of long-horned Bokoblins and Moblins appear here, ahead of the trailer for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, but was actually finished before the trailer was actually released.
  • The Chooser of the One: This chapter has claims that Champions are chosen by Divine Beasts that see them as worthy.
  • Continuity Nod: This fic references Skyloft and the City in the Sky, the former of which was referenced by Paya in the previous fic.
  • Cosmic Motifs: Purah, Robbie, Grépe, and Uava comment the seemingly random constellation designs all over Sheikah technology, and in the ancient shrines. They really comment on this when the control unit for Sheikah technology is revealed to be called the Astral Observatory.
  • Large Ham: Purah hams it up to heaven and back when she realizes that Sheikah technology may have originated from Thunderbolt Iron.
  • Multiple-Choice Past: Historians in Hyrule are clearly not certain about a lot. In a prior chapter, some said that the City in the Sky was another name for Skyloft, while this chapter has King Rhoam saying that the City in the Sky refers to a sky realm during a time where light and dark came together.
  • Non-Indicative Name: The Astral Observatory is the control unit for the Sheikah technology, despite it being underground, and not used to observe stars like its name would imply.
  • Pet the Dog: Revali's first order of business when Zelda comes to recruit him is to offer her a ride to see all Hyrule from high up with an amazing view.
  • Rule of Three: It's stated here that Champions are given three tasks to complete in order to master a Divine Beast.
  • Thunderbolt Iron: Purah speculates that the reason for all the constellation designs on Sheikah technology may have originally come from the stars above.
