Camp Here & There is a weekly Horror Comedy podcast created by Mayfield & Belov. It centres around a small midwestern sleepaway camp plagued by supernatural terrors and natural disasters. Sydney Sargent, resident camp nurse, cheerfully reports on the terrors just below (and above) their feet. The first episode aired on June 10th, 2021.

The podcast is written and directed by Blue Mayfield and Nicholas Belov. The recurring cast includes Blue Mayfield, Corey Wilder, Crystal Lee, Emily Safko, Gianni Matrango, JV Hampton-Van Sant, Mikee Joaquin, Nicholas Belov, Ryan Henning, Tom Antonellis, Tom Laflin, Ty Coker, and Susan Dohan. The music is composed and produced by Will Wood and Jonathon Maisto, respectively.

Episodes can be listened to on the official Mayfield & Belov youtube channel, Spotify and Apple Podcasts. The official page for the podcast can be found here.

Camp Here & There contains examples of the following tropes:

  • And Now for Someone Completely Different: In file 5, due to it being opposite day, Jedediah makes the announcements instead of Sydney. Until it gets cancelled, anyway.
    • A few episodes focus on Jedediah acting as a mediator for disputes between the counsellors.
    • In file 28, Sydney is left in charge of meals while camp chef Matthew goes out to find some salt.
  • Bread, Eggs, Milk, Squick: From the teaser:
Sydney: Welcome to Camp Here & There where the sun is shining, the birds are chatty, and the blood-sucking butterflies in the walls can smell fear.
  • Content Warning: As well as specific warnings for some individual episodes, there's this warning for the series as a whole:
"Disclaimer: Camp Here & There is not intended for audiences under the age of 16. The story deals with mature themes and graphic horror which may not be suitable for all audiences. Viewer discretion is advised."
  • Dead All Along: It's revealed in the season one finale that Sydney died a few years before the events of the series, but Jedediah brought him back somehow.
  • Eldritch Location: The entire world that the series takes place in qualifies as this. The sky comes in just about every colour except blue, and days can last anywhere from 25 to 100 hours, among many other things.
  • Idiosyncratic Episode Naming: Each episode is referred to as a "file", and is titled in the format "The [X] of [Y]". Starting from file 2, the word for [X] is whatever word was the [Y] for the previous episode. For example, episode 1 was titled "The Beginning of the End", file 2 was "The End of the Squall", episode 3 was "The Squall of Prophecy" etc.
  • Noodle Incident: When Sydney reports on one of the camp counsellors predicting mercury rain that afternoon:
Sydney: Well, campers returning from last summer will remember what happened last time we ignored one of Rowan’s forecasts. All the letters we had to write to those poor parents…
  • Opposite Day: The main focus of file 5. It's apparently a government-mandated event. Come the evening announcements, the event has to be cut short because things got really out of hand.
  • Running Gag: Whenever the options for meals are listed, the vegan options tend to be... lackluster at best. The only exception so far is file 16.
    • Yvonne hosting "The Gamer Hour".
  • Shout-Out: At one point in file 28, Sydney starts humming the theme tune to Icarly.
  • Volleying Insults: Joshua and Yvonne in file 9. It's all in good fun, though.
Joshua: I guess you’re right. Well, I’m glad we’re still friends and everything.
Yvonne: (warmly) Yeah… Me too. Dickhead.
Joshua: Asshole.
Jedediah: Are we done?
Joshua: Wait, one more: Cunt.
Jedediah: Okay.
Yvonne: Shithead.
Jedediah: Guys.
Yvonne: He started it.
Joshua: You started it! Fuckface!
Yvonne: You turned one simple, friendly insult into a pissing contest. Which is typical, from you. Pisslord!
  • Wham Episode: File 22, "The Secrets of the Woods". Sydney and The Elephant Man meet face-to-face, and we learn some more about who he is and some hints as to what he's planning.
