Basic Trope: After a Time Skip where younger characters have grown up, adults don't appear to have aged at all.

  • Straight: The Distant Finale of Trope Adventures shows Hiro grown up, but his parents Alice and Bob still appear to be the same age as they were in the main series.
  • Exaggerated: There's a Time Skip to 100 years in the future, but Alice and Bob still look exactly the same.
  • Downplayed:
    • Alice and Bob have some grey hairs or wrinkles, but otherwise look the same as they did in the main series.
    • The Time Skip is only a few years in the future.
  • Justified:
    • In more downplayed cases, this can be Truth in Television, since the rate at which a younger person ages is much more noticeable than the rate at which an adult ages.
    • Alice and/or Bob are of a species that ages differently than Hiro's.
    • Alice and Bob don't appear to age because they were affected by the Fountain of Youth.
  • Inverted: After only a few years have passed, Alice and Bob appear to be much older than one would expect.
  • Subverted: The Grand Finale of Trope Adventures seems to be a Distant Finale, because we see a character who looks like a grown-up version of Hiro visiting Alice and Bob, who don't appear to have aged at all. However, it turns out that no significant length of time has actually passed, and the "adult Hiro" is actually his long-lost uncle coming to visit.
  • Double Subverted: ???
  • Parodied: ???
  • Zig-Zagged: Alice and Bob don't look any older, but Lance the Older Sidekick appears to have aged.
  • Averted:
    • There's no Time Skip.
    • Alice and Bob appear to have aged as usual.
  • Enforced: The creators want Alice and Bob to be immediately recognizable in the Distant Finale.
  • Lampshaded: ???
  • Invoked: ???
  • Exploited: ???
  • Defied: ???
  • Discussed: ???
  • Conversed: "Why do the adults never look any older in Time Skips?"
