- When he checks the back, there's an actual insult on the back of the cookie: "Well, you found me. Did you expect an insult? Okay then. Quit trying to find insults everywhere you look; You're always being insulted, one way or the other."
- Zig-Zagged: Bob opens a fortune cookie and it says, "You will soon meet the woman of your dreams. The woman turns out to be an abusive Yandere who ruins his life. Alice opens a fortune cookie and it says, "Know your limits." Charlie opens another and it's just a normal fortune cookie. Dracone's says, "You will be run over by a carriage."
- Parodied: Fortune cookies are treated as high-level dark artifacts.
- Invoked: A disgruntled fortune-writer begins putting nasty fortunes into cookies.
- Exploited: Emperor Evulz knows Bob is superstitious, so he puts a nasty fortune into a cookie to manipulate him.
