Basic Trope: A person who likes to wear fur and eat meat because they enjoy the suffering of animals.

  • Straight: Evil Emma likes to eat meat and wear fur coats because she knows innocent creatures died for it.
  • Exaggerated:
  • Downplayed: Emma casually jokes in front of her vegetarian friends that meat does taste like murder... "and murder tastes pretty darn good!"
  • Justified:
  • Inverted:
  • Subverted: Our Heroine Marcy assumes Emma is evil because she wears a bear skin coat and a raccoon skin hat. Marcy is horrified until Emma explains that this is the best way to stay warm where she warm lives and that the animals aren't endangered and were hunted legally and sustainably. She points it isn't so different from Marcy eating meat.
  • Double Subverted: But then Emma is seen hiring a poacher to kill a critically endangered california condor so she can use its feathers for a hat, gloating that the feathers will look better on her.
  • Parodied: Evil Emma wears living arctic foxes as a coat.
    • Evil Emma is a vegan and herbicide producer with an inexplicable undying hatred for plants. She doesn't even have pollen allergies to explain it!
  • Zigzagged: Evil Emma hates all animals, except her cat whom she loves. She seems to want to go after Marcy's highly endangered Sperm Whale friend, but it turns out the whale is actually an malevolent evil spirit and Emma just wants to protect people from him. But then she kills her Team Pet — a rare last of his kind tiger cub — for no other reason than For the Evulz...
  • Averted: The meat-eater just believes in eating meat to survive and doesn't personally hurt animals.
  • Enforced:
    • "We need to let the audience know that Emma is a real mean customer! I know! Let's make her wear the fur of cute animals!"
    • Evil Emma is a Straw Character used for propaganda purposes by an Animal Wrongs Group.
    • 101 Fauxmations is a parody of… you guessed it.
  • Implied: Fur and Loathing: the connection is never explicitly stated, but dog-kicking Evil Emma is often seen wearing fur.
  • Lampshaded: "Of course. Whenever we find an endangered species, you're there to try to eat it or make a fashion accessory put of it!"
  • Invoked: Evil Genius Dr. Mean sends his mind controlled animals to attack Young Emma so she'll develop a severe hatred for animals as an adult.
  • Exploited: The heroes manage to bring Evil Emma to justice by leaving a Baby Panda near her house knowing she won't be able to resist harming it as she has a 'thing' about harming animals.
  • Defied: Evil Emma hates animals, but is a Villain with Good Publicity and doesn't want to lose it by harming animals (especially not ones everyone loves).
  • Discussed: "I'm worried about the polar bear cubs! Someone might try to make mittens out of them!"
  • Conversed: "Great! Another Cruella De Vil rip off trying to turn animals into fur coats or something!"
  • Played For Laughs: Evil Emma in Dastardly Whiplash Style, ties adorable little puppies and kittens to railroad tracks, while laughing evilly.
  • Played For Drama:
  • Played For Horror: Emma's absurdly long rap sheet explains how she is single-handedly responsible of the massacre of 950 people spread among 67 animal shelters, 15 zoos, 8 pet contests, 5 animal reserves and every kind of law enforcement in the county down to the neighborhood watch, and how she skinned them all (and not all of them were dead when she did it) before moving on to the animals. She did this so she would be able to walk down the street with a gorilla skin vest and Dalmatian fur coat combined with Irish settler shoes and umbrella made of authentic whale with nobody willing to fuck with her.
