Basic Trope: The Precursors were good people.
- Straight: The Trope-Xs create creatures that do good things in the world, like picking up litter, adopting stray and sick animals, and get giant corporations to sell healthy food with peaceful means.
- Logical Extreme: The creatures are Incorruptible Pure Pureness and save the world from every issue fixable, turning it into a Utopia.
- Downplayed:
- The creatures are Anti-Heros.
- The creatures are Jerkasses.
- Justifed: The Trope-Xs want to do good to the world, but they don't want to go through hours just to do good things, so they made creatures with lots of energy and goodness to do the job.
- Inverted:
- Abusive Precursors
- Abusive Descendants: The creatures attack their creators a lot and litter a lot.
- Benevolent Descendants.
- Deconstructed:
- The Precursors are Benevolent and well-intentioned... by the standards of their ancient alien culture. They genuinely believed they were doing good, but for the current generations they're left with problems caused directly or indirectly by the Precursors.
- The Precursors meant well, but couldn't plan for every contingency, or ensure their technology would still be usable centuries down the line. The help of the Precursors is either limited or completely useless.
- The Precursors are well-intentioned but can be ruthless if the stakes are high enough, and current races find this the hard way.
