- Straight: Bob accidentally bumps into Alice and then ends up locking lips with her.
- Exaggerated: Bob crashes into Alice and accidentally kisses her. The impact causes them to fall down a flight of stairs, lip-locked the whole time.
- Downplayed: Bob bumps into Alice but his lips barely brush against her cheek.
- Justified: Alice and Bob are robots in a Robo Romance and a Noodle Incident left their lips magnetized.
- Inverted: Bob intentionally kisses Alice.

- Alice realizes what is about to happen and moves out of Bob's way just in time.
- Bob immediately detaches himself in shock and embarrassment, but Alice decides she likes it and very un-accidentally locks lips with him.
- Double Subverted: Alice swiftly moves out of the way after Bob trips in her direction... only for him to grab onto her mid-fall and inadvertently kiss her anyway.

- Averted: Bob falls and crashes into Alice but doesn't end up kissing her.
- Enforced: The author wants the two to kiss, and doesn't care how.

- Exploited: Alice and Bob are not supposed to be kissing at work, but a bit of Contrived Clumsiness doesn't make their boss suspicious.
- Defied: Alice and Bob constantly wear motorcycle helmets to keep their faces a safe distance away from everybody else.
