Nightmare Face indeed...
Despite its comedic nature, HoodRats! manages to have a few scary moments.- While Oscurita is a hammy and laughable villain, she's still a powerful and dangerous person who managed to successfully get rid of all her previous enemies. Her appearance is also kinda creepy since she's a demon of sorts covered by black smoke with tentacles for hair, no visible mouth and big eyes. This panel
is a perfect example of how creepy she can be if she really wants to. - The figure briefly shown in "Rendezvous!" is pretty creepy appearance-wise.
- We learn more about him later on in the comic: his name is Elmo, and he's the entity inhabiting Sun Wukong's cape.
- The capes. As explained by Cindy, they are instruments of chaos created from the spirits of 3 powerful gods. If worn by people that haven't been chosen to use them, the entities inside them will be released, possessing the one wearing them. Unfortunately, this is what happens to Kermit, and even after Cindy removes the cape from him it's clear that Kermit's still possessed.

- She might look like a normal human at first, but it's pretty clear that she's something else. For starters, her clothes are actually part of her body and she has eyes inside of her mouth.
- She also shows to be an incredibly violent person, eating a Little alive (something that horrifies even Prince) and choking Stella, a child, to the point of having her pass out.
- If there's one thing Skyblack is good at, it's making Nightmare Faces. The one pictured above is easily the most terrifying example so far.
