Being the tenth series overall in the franchise, this show makes many nods to past series.
- Whenever a Selfish Agent corrupts the heart of the Victim of the Week, he/she says "omae/anata no nozomi" which means "your desire/wish".
- The bar of the Selfish Trio has the phrase "gogo! Jikochu" as a neon sign.
- Episode 6: During the argument of Ira and Mamo, Ira says "zakennayo" in the background. Zakenna are the Monsters of the Week for the first Pretty Cure series, named after that word).
- During the preview to Episode 8, Mana says "arienai!" ("I can't believe this", the Character Catchphrase of original Pretty Cure protagonist Nagisa Misumi.)
- Whenever someone mentions something about Ai-chan's baby milk, he/she says "milk" instead of gyunyu.
- Episode 11: The softball team asks Mana if she could play as their pitcher for a single match. The protagonist of Futari wa Pretty Cure Splash★Star was a softball pitcher.
- Cure Heart calls Bel a coward. He takes it as a compliment. The same happened with Cure Berry and Soular in Episode 38.
- It had happened even before, when Coco had insulted Girinma as a coward in the first episode who just had ignored that.
- Cure Heart calls Bel a coward. He takes it as a compliment. The same happened with Cure Berry and Soular in Episode 38.
- Episode 13: The Rich Bitch Reina introduces herself with the line "Ichirin no Bara", very similar to "Ichirin no Hana".
- Episode 16: Mana talks about the favorite ice cream flavors of her friends, which reference past Cures. Rikka likes chocolate chips (either Cure Black or Milky Rose, who both love chocolate), Alice likes mint (Cure Mint the Barrier Warrior) and Makoto likes blueberry (Cure Berry with the spade suits symbol).
- Episode 19: During the soccer match, Cure Diamond says arienai, too.
- Episode 22: Ira and Mammo's Team attack looks like a near identical version of the Pretty Cure Marble Screw attack, only red and yellow fires instead of black and white thunders.
- Episode 25: Cutie Madame's costume looks a lot like Cure Passion's. Of course, the real Cure Passion would not be happy that someone dressed almost like her was impersonating a costumed hero for her own selfish reasons...
- Episode 27: Aguri wears a yukata with a butterfly motif. In the following episode, she wears a yukata with a rose motif. Both butterflies and roses are Yes! Pretty Cure 5 themes.
- Mana and Makoto's legs go asleep and they say "shibiretta/shibire da" ("shibire" means "limbs going to sleep"). Shibiretta was the name of a female villain from Yes! Pretty Cure 5 GoGo!.
- Leva and Gula's teamwork performance looks similar to Cure Melody and Cure Rhythm's Passionato Harmony.
- Also has shades of Marble Screw and also a little Twin Stream Splash. YMMV on this one, but it looks a lot like ANY double-Cure attack from anywhere.
- The "combined Jikochuu" is summoned by two villains, similarly to the "combined Akabe" that is made by two Hyper Akanbes.
- Episode 30: Even though they did this before, Cure Heart and Cure Sword say "Precure Double Kick".
- Cure Diamond says "arienai" again.
- The new attack Lovely Force Reflection is basically Rosetta Reflection, but enhanced by Rosetta's three comrades. That happened before in the final episode of Yes! Pretty Cure 5 GoGo! when the four Precures and Milky Rose enhanced Mint's Emerald Saucer.
- The new finisher attack Lovely Straight Flush looks similar to Five Explosion and Lucky Clover Grand Finale.
- Cure Ace's new attack Ace Mirror Flash looks similar to Cure Muse's Shining Circle.
- Episode 33: Rosetta Reflection is broken in two halves? No problem. Throw them like Emerald Saucers.
- Alice's flashback shows how she met Mana. Alice chased a butterfly and got somehow a Crash-Into Hello with Mana. Mana then rose her hand and the butterfly landed on her index finger. And Mana asked Alice if she likes butterflies. Does this remember you of Nozomi and Coco?
- Rosetta Balloon looks like a combination of Lemonade Flash and Prism Chain.
- Episode 34: Ira says "nake wameke"; Nakewameke are Monster of the Week from Fresh Pretty Cure!.
- Cure Diamond then says "kowai na"; Kowaina are Monsters of the Week from Yes! Pretty Cure 5.
- Episode 35: One of the themes in this episode is tooth decay which translates into "mushiba" in Japanese. Mushiban was the name of the Non-Serial Movie Big Bad from Yes! Pretty Cure 5 GoGo!.
- Episode 36: Cure Diamond gets an epic version of Blossom Oshiri/Butt Punch, courtesy of Rachel.
- Episode 40: Regina wants to make the humans desperate by destroying music.
- Episode 41: She tries it again, this time by destroying plants. She even summons a Jikochuu which flies above earth and makes plants wiltring. It looks like a smaller, evil version of the Tree of Hearts. And the battle is in the stratosphere.
- Alice even does a little "flower language" thing, just like Tsubomi/Chypre/Yuri would after every fight in every episode.
- Alice says "Great power of love" (Ooinaru ai no chikara) which sounds very similar to "Great power of hope" (Ooinaru kibou no chikara), Cure Dream's In the Name of the Moon speech.
- Episode 42: There is a convenient store with the name "Fresh Food".
- Episode 45: On the top of closet we see another stuffed bunny like Usapion.
- Non-Serial Movie: Mana was named as such by her grandmother, just like how Love got her name from her grandfather.
