Why you always in a mood?
24kGoldn (born November 13 2000) is the stage name of Golden Landis Von Jones, a rapper and songwriter who is known for his songs "Mood" and "VALENTINO" which charted in numerous countries, and received attention on Spotify and Youtube.

The theme in his music is coming-of-age, and he was 18-20 years old at the time of those releases.

Tropes in 24kGoldn and his music include:

  • I Need a Freaking Drink: In the song "CITY OF ANGELS" he says "A little Hennessy, it might be good for me" when reflecting on his wild party lifestyle.
  • Medium Blending: The remix of "Mood" is presented with Retraux video game elements, with lyrics of the song appearing as collectibles or enemies.
  • Multilingual Song: J Balvin sings on the remix of "Mood", his whole verse is in Spanish. J Balvin is Columbian and most of his music is sung in Spanish.
  • Sampling: "Unbelievable" features a sample of "Marvin’s Room" by Drake.
  • Stop Faux-tion: The cover art for the remix of "Mood" is of all the singers in CG but in the aesthetic and style of stop-motion.
  • Shout-Out:
    • The lyric video for the remix of "Mood" shows all of the singers in an 8-bit video game similar to Super Mario Bros. as the lyrics are displayed on top of them.
    • In "DROPPED OUTTA COLLEGE" he mentions Fortnite in the middle of the first verse.
  • Sunny Sunflower Disposition: Inverted. 24kGoldn in "Mood" is shown in a field of sunflowers at first, but he's clearly not happy.
  • Xtreme Kool Letterz: His name is spelled this way. It's a weird spelling of the words "24 karat golden".
