Sorry I ain't got no tropes I'm not trying to be funny but I left them all at home today:
- Adults Are Useless: In “Mama Look At Me Now” is about a boy who innocently creates trouble and has a mental condition, and his teachers talk dirt about him behind his back. Especially to his mother. Thankfully he overcomes this and becomes successful.
- Artistic License – Law: Public schools cannot just give a student medication without the consent of the parent first.
- Break Up Song: “Heartbreak Anthem”, though the singer doesn't show any animosity or regret over their partner leaving them.
- Cats Are Superior: Their early single and album artworks often involve cats and lions, and the video for “Runaway (U & I) has two main characters with cat heads.
- Call-Back: In “No Money” the line that says “This time I ain’t gonna run away.”
- Cherubic Choir
- ”I WANNA RUN AWAY! I WANNA RUN AWAY!”
- The “HEY!” In “Mama Look at Me Now”
- Cool Plane: In “Mama Look at Me Now” he mentions that he’s now flying a G-5 private jet.
- Flowers of Romance: Downplayed since they’re technically herbs, but “Dandelion”
- No Medication for Me: Also in “Mama Look at Me Now” he says, “They gave me pills to make me better.”
- Precision F-Strike: “Fuck Tomorrow Now”. This is the only time they have ever involved swear words.
- Take That!: “Mama Look at Me Now” is about the negligent nature of public schools.
