- "SMG4 & Team B: Salmon-Apocalypse Run"
, a story that involves fighting off Salmonids, was released on the same day as Big Run, an event that involves fighting off Salmonids. - "The Splatfest Rematch" was released on November 11, 2022; the same day Splatoon 3 had the Pokémon Splatfest.
- "Knuckles & Spider-Man: Hunter Trouble" was released on the same day as the trailer for Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse. Note that this was a story requested by a friend of James that took him a while to get to, not something created then and there.
- "The Fox and Doctor Babble" was released on the day Sonic Prime aired.
- "Team B: Universe of the Daleks" was made for the 59th anniversary of the Daleks.
- "Thanos' Invasion of Themyscira" was released on the day James Gunn revealed his DC reboot slate. This was another story planned some time ago instead of something thought up immediately.* "The Ex-Imperial and the Sith Planet" was made on the anniversary of Return of the Jedi.
- Both "Knuckles and the King of Pumpkin Hill" and "Rouge's Mission: Area 51" were made on the 22nd anniversary of Sonic Adventure 2.

- "Our Splatfest Destiny" was released on the first day of the Ice Cream Splatfest.
- "Meggy's Amazing Birthday" was released on the 6th anniversary of "If Mario Was In... Splatoon", her debut video.
- "Magic Beach Genie Massage", which combines elements of Splatoon, was released on the 4th anniversary of the trailer for Meggy's Destiny: An SMG4 Movie, which also combined elements of Splatoon.
- "Voice Dilemma" was released on the 4th anniversary of the actual Meggy's Destiny: An SMG4 Movie.
- "Rise of A Robo-Cop", an origin story for Hal Monitor, was released on the 5-year anniversary of "Mario's Prison Escape". While that SMG4 video came out before the character's debut, there is still law enforcement involved.
- "Mario's Swimsuit Princess" was released on Mar10 Day in 2024.
