50 X 50 is a comedy Shounen-ai one-shot created by Kunieda Saika in 2008.
Boobs-loving Kawanishi Wataru and leg freak Higashino Shuzou have known and been intense rivals for ten whole years, wasting no time making everything a competition in their workplace and the dating scene and hating on each other every chance they get.
But then one morning out of the blue, they find themselves in bed together. Naked and covered in hickeys. And that's when their denial begins...

- Ambiguous Situation: For the second time the two had sex, it's unknown if they did it under the influence or not because they weren't explicitly shown downing booze before doing the deed like the other times. The two seemed more uncertain and uncomfortable about it but who knows?
- Casanova Wannabe: Looks are the only thing Kawanishi and Higashino have going on and the reason why they attract ladies at all as their superficial fetishes for boobs and legs respectively is a major turnoff in addition to thinking they are gay despite their denial.
- Covered in Kisses: A common indicator of the two having drunkenly slept together is the hickeys all over their bodies, oddly in the shape of kiss marks even though neither of them wears lipstick.
- Has a Type: Kawanishi and Higashino's taste in women is dependent on one major factor: big, voluptuous breasts for the former or long slender legs for the latter. Their actual type is each other after they dated their respective Spear Counterparts, not that they will ever acknowledge or admit to it when sober.
- Maybe Ever After: After the umpteenth time having sex under the influence, Kawanishi more or less accepts their strange relationship while Higashino just stops caring. However, the two made it clear to each other that they are not in love (Suuuuure~) nor dating so there's still Belligerent Sexual Tension needed to be resolved.Closing Narration: "Since high school, over ten years have passed and these two guys are still trapped in the same scene...but they're happy."
- No Bisexuals: Kawanishi and Higashino insist they are straight while their dates say otherwise but all never consider the possibility they are bi as there's very strong evidence they like both men and women, the former of which is proven with the two's strong unresolved feelings for one another and the latter with their fetishes.
- Running Gag: In every chapter, the duo gets wasted out of their minds over their latest break up, have drunk sex, wake up the following day with no recollection of their passionate night before, much to their dismay. Higashino began realising the pattern in chapter 4 and stopped himself before he becomes too intoxicated, only to jump off the wagon again when his feelings were ignored by a drunk Kawanishi.
- Smoking Hot Sex: The last scene has the duo share a cigarette with each other after yet another of their drunken sex escapades, leaning into their unusual relationship.
