And then, later, a captured member of The Race is being interrogated by the Japanese and wishes that a nuke would fall on him. He is being interrogated in Nagasaki.

* In ''Fanfic/EquestriaDivided'' Applejack has a BatteringRam that looks like [[TrojanHorse a wooden statue of a pony on wheels]].

** In ''Literature/PlayerTwoStart'', Music/AvrilLavigne becomes a professional skateboarder (or rather, [[{{Pun}} a "Sk8er Grrrl"]]) instead of a musician. On a darker note, [[spoiler:Christine Weston Chandler (of ''Webcomic/{{Sonichu}}'' and "Chris-chan" infamy in our world)]] becomes a SpreeKiller instead of a controversial artist. A number of this person's real-life antics and writings are referenced as having also occurred here, but given a much darker context given that they're seen not just as the depraved ramblings of somebody with serious problems but also as a killer's {{manifesto|MakingMalcontent}}.

* In ''ComicBook/BeastWarsUprising'', it’s mentioned that in this universe Music/DuranDuran still made the song “Union Of The Snake”... and promptly ended up under investigation because people thought it was them showing support for [[Franchise/GIJoe Cobra]].
