  • During events, the various mooks have special titles that give them a personality. If said title denotes their support for a named character, it's adorable. For example, in Spring Festival of Swords, a generic wolf tengu is given a title that reveals that this one is a Momiji fan.
  • When it comes to alternate costumes, Youmu does not want her phantom half left out, as she noted during Hifuu Lost Word. So, it gets a sci-fi collar for her Lunar War (B3) variant, while her alternate costumes give it a matching headband (or in the case of her winter wear outfit, a hat and a scarf that matches hers).
  • In the ending of the main story for "The Steps to Achieve Fairyhood", the Three Fairies of Light felt left out while Cirno, Daiyousei, Lily White, and Clownpiece were invited. The three fairies were reassured that their powers also dictate time, a factor in growth. They were willing to make up afterwards.
  • In one of Okina's main screen quotes, she views Aunn as like a daughter to her. It's appropriate as Aunn was among those Okina brought to life during the incident she caused in Hidden Star in Four Seasons.
  • Costumes with other characters as cameos can often be heartwarming.
    • Letty Whiterock's default splash has two small snowmen: one depicting her, the other depicting fellow ice user Cirno.
    • Kanako's anniversary costume features Suwako and Sanae as the three enjoy some time together. Doubles as funny due to Suwako posing as if photobombing.
    • To show solidarity with her band members, the splash for Kokoro's Masked Dancer Rebellion attire has Yatsuhashi, Benben, Satono, and Mai on the screens behind her.
    • Parsee's Jealousy-Driven Cheering Spirit costume includes a plushie of Yuugi, her partner for the event, at her side. Doubles as Ship Tease, since Parsee and Yuugi are very often depicted as a romantic couple in fan works. The splash for her outfit also includes chibi versions of Kisume, Yamame, Satori, and Koishi.
    • The costumes for the three members of the Grassroots Youkai Network for the "Scrambled Youkai Network" event have them dress as each other, to show how close-knit they are. Wakasagihime's resembles Kagerou, Kagerou's resembles Sekibanki, and Sekibanki's resembles Wakasagihime.
  • In "Masked Dancer Rebellion", the titular startup band receives help from Koishi, who spreads the fliers around for their concert. It's even more endearing when you realize that she and the band leader Kokoro had a less than pleasant history together, stemming from the events of Hopeless Masquerade.
  • The entire premise of "Hina's Cheering Saga" revolves around five characters breaking others out of misfortune. Sometimes they help each other out!
  • Sakuya (Scarlet)'s summer quote has her recall the time Meiling almost passed out from the heat. Sakuya procures some grilled lamprey for her from the village, which perks her up.
  • One of the scenes of the Main Story Interlude features Mokou standing against the Watatsuki sisters to prevent them from taking Kaguya back to the moon. While she downplays it as her rivalry with Kaguya giving her motivation in life, the fact that it's soon revealed that Kaguya and Mokou have been having secret meetings with one another suggests their relationship isn't as hostile as she claims it is. Fortunately, the Watatsuki sisters didn't come for Kaguya.
  • Some victory animations are endearing:
    • Yachie hugs one of her otter spirits.
    • Youmu (A7) headpats her phantom half.
    • Yoshika's has Seiga appear to check on her.
    • Satori (L80): Her cat anima representing Koishi jumps around, and Satori embraces her.
  • According to Aunn in her winter quote, Marisa gave her a bamboo hat that was an offering from Narumi.
  • Sekibanki's winter quote has her jealous that she can't resist the cold like Kagerou and Wakasagihime can. Their response was a hug from both sides, so Sekibanki declares that she'll protect them the best she can.
  • "'Tis the Season for Adventure" ends on Okina delivering one final gift: letting Iku, Rei'sen, and the protagonist watch the sunrise with her.
  • Raiko reveals in "Happy Prism Parade!" that the protagonist became famous throughout Gensokyo. Lyrica also adds that she has incredible power to help people.
  • "Hakurei Shrine Academy Adventure Remilienteering" ends on Yukari playing a video for the protagonist. Said video consists of nearly everyone in Gensokyo, whether it be them in the flesh, or simply someone else reading a letter on their behalf. All of them thank the protagonist for being their friends, and tell her how much they enjoy spending time with her. It goes on for nearly half an hour, but the entire spiel is completely heartfelt. As the cherry on top, the final cutscene of the event has the subtitle "Thanks for Playing".
  • In "The Beast Dream Salon!", it's revealed that the reason the protagonist has been acting strange throughout the event is because the hat she was wearing was possessed by an animal spirit. Said animal spirit managed to escape the Animal Realm, and wanted to become a shining star. It ends up joining Gouyoku Alliance as a new member.
