    Episode 7
  • After the previous episode created a bit of a rift between Yomogi and Yume, the two manage to patch things up and grow even closer after the latter spills her conflicted emotions surrounding her sister's death. The smaller physical distance between them on the rooftop at the end perfectly showcases this.
  • Onija and Mujina have a nice moment after the former apologizes for teasing the latter.
  • Gridknight's new outfit and weapon of choice calls back to Samurai Calibur, who was the most empathetic of the Assist Weapons towards him when he started developing a heart, as well as the only one he actually got to wield in combat. He also seems to have taken Rikka's lessons in cleanliness to heart, which were an important step in his character development.

    Episode 8
  • The ending with Yomogi and Yume. To put it in perspective, there was an awkward moment earlier on, in which Yomogi asked Yume if she wanted to go somewhere, "anywhere," as he put it, and she just stares at him with her standard expression without answering. After the Kaiju is defeated late into the episode, Yume is clearly concerned for Yomogi, who's obviously uncomfortable with the latest kill due to contemplating whether or not Kaiju have hearts. So what does she do? She adorably jabs his side and asks him he wants to go eat somewhere, "anywhere." The smile she gives him, as well as the lighting of the scene, only serve to elevate the moment.

    Episode 9
  • In a way, Gauma admonishing Yomogi for leaving Yume behind while she's emotionally distressed can be seen as one. Despite the fact that they're currently fighting a Kaiju, Gauma is more than willing to stop the battle just to chew Yomogi out and have him return with her because he knows he has a crush on her. It just goes to show how much he cares about these two by this point in the show.
  • Yume's in a dark place from the events of the episode and seemingly on the verge of being Driven to Suicide, with Chise attempting to talk her down before Yomogi charges in to rescue her.
Chise: Minami, are you sure nothing good came from it? This guy charged in to save you. Is there anyone else that would do that for you? You don't know what you've got.
  • Shortly after that, a gust of wind leads to Yume falling off the building anyway, with Yomogi not quite being able to reach her in time. Luckily Goldburn swoops in to save her, earning the team's trust in the process.
  • The ending again shows Yomogi and Yume getting closer, with the pair combining their fireworks as the last shot of the episode.

    Episode 10
  • Even after Yume leaves the Psychological Torment Zone following her conversation with Kano, the camera lingers on Kano and the world of the past she's in sticking around. It leaves a glimmer of hope that perhaps some version of Kano avoided her fatal accident after all.
  • Crossing over with Tear Jerking, the memory Knight is brought to when he gets absorbed by the Kaiju is the time Akane took him out to eat after he defeated Gridman the first time. While everyone else's dreams are related to specific actions they regret doing or not doing, Knight's regret seems to be taking for granted the time he had with his Akane before he Never Got to Say Goodbye. Essentially, he misses his mom.
    • He ends up later at the point where Akane rejected him completely by saying he'd become too human, telling him to go anywhere else and do whatever he wanted. Back then, Anti listened to her command, and Akane ended up turning into a kaiju, so it's clear that Knight wishes he had disobeyed her since if he had indulged his human side more he might have been able to help her before that happened.

    Episode 11
  • After Yume expresses her worries about not seeing everyone again with Dynazenon and the Kaiju gone, Yomogi finally expresses how he feels:
Yomogi: Even if there's no Kaiju...even if there's no Dynazenon...I still want to see you.
    Yume: *Beat* Yeah.
Yomogi: *after a lengthy pause* I like you. Will you go out with me?

    Episode 12
  • Juuga notes before their deaths that while he and the other Eugenicists may be gone, he goes out content knowing that the Kaiju will at least still have a future.
  • Mere moments before death, Gauma laments not ever being able to reunite with the Princess again. However, he does not regret meeting Yomogi and the others and gives them his thanks for getting to know them.
    • In addition, Gauma finally realizes why he was trusted with Dynazenon: So he can start making new bonds with people and make his life worth it rather than waste it obsessing over the Princess.
  • With the battle between the Kaiju Eugenicists coming to a close, Knight and The 2nd return to the Computer World with Dynazenon and Goldburn. As they are about to cross the portal, Chise chases after them and thanks Goldburn for being her friend.
  • Though not in the conventional sense, the latter half of the episode serves as a sort of "Where Are They Now?" Epilogue for the remainder of the team three months later:
    • Koyomi cleaned up real nicely and changed his entire appearance. Through a conversation with Chise, he failed twenty-one job interviews, but with the help of Inamoto's husband, he manages to nail one.
    • Chise still hangs with Koyomi, and she can no longer go to school due to it being destroyed in the Kaiju battle. Additionally, she removed the sleeve on her left arm, revealing a tattoo of Goldburn.
    • Yomogi and Yume finally get together as a couple, the former finally addressing the latter as "Yume" rather than "Minami-san" as he did the entire show.
  • Yume's cell phone case now has a basketball sticker on it, with basketball being one of Yomogi's hobbies.
  • Yomogi now wears a yellow shirt and is shown to have developed a taste for crab crisps, inheriting some of Gauma's spirit.
  • The school event is a cosplay cafe with a horror theme, with Yomogi dressing as a mummy while Yume dresses as a ghost princess, symbolically fulfilling Gauma's dream.
  • It's revealed right at the end that during the Instance Domination, Yomogi actually spoke to Sizumu and rejected the opportunity to become a kaiju user, declaring that the chains Sizumu talked about were his irreplaceable bonds with others.

    Voice Dramas
  • In 5.5, Sizumu realizes that Onija, who just finished a rant about how he feels like the rest of group take him for granted, just wants some appreciation, so he, Juuga, and Mujina all thank him.
  • In 12.12, after Yomogi sprains his ankle saving Yume from a fall, she helps him walk to the nurse's office. When he mentions that they might not make it to the restaurant they made reservations for, she reassures him that they can go anytime they want.
