Relative to SSSS.GRIDMAN, SSSS.DYNɅZENON veers Lighter and Softer, but there's still no shortage of nightmares to be had.

    Episode 10
  • The kaiju up to this point have all been physical threats that could be dealt with using nothing but weapons. This one simply starts nullifying everything. People begin disappearing at random, then buildings, then the planet itself, leaving only a featureless gray void. They don't gradually vanish, either: they're there one moment, the next they're gone, leaving only their shadow on the ground as a sign they ever existed.
    • The Kaiju Eugenicists aren't immune to the kaiju's power. In fact, they're its first victims, starting with Mujina before she can even finish performing Instance Domination on it. The only one who's not disturbed by this is Sizumu, who acts like he knew full well that this is what would happen.
Sizumu: Now everyone can be free. (Sizumu vanishes)
  • The people who get taken by the kaiju don't die, but rather get sent back in time to the most shameful moments in their lives, living them out in a Psychological Torment Zone:
    • Yomogi goes back to his first introduction to Kamijou, but snaps out of it before the scene can progress beyond a few sentences.
    • Yume lives out the final few hours of Kano's life, knowing what's about to happen but having no way of stopping it.
    • Koyomi takes the young Inamoto's offer of taking the dirty money and running, only for it to all get blown away by the wind.
    • Gauma goes back to his time with the Kaiju Eugenicists in their ancient country, with the sequence ending with him lying on the ground dying after betraying and killing them all.
  • Yomogi rescues everyone from the dream and they defeat the kaiju, with a happy ending all around. Then the last shot of the episode cuts back to Gauma's dying body, as if none of the second half of the episode ever happened.
