Episode 2
- At the end of the episode, Yuta is wondering what the point of fighting is if his accomplishments are erased by the Reset Button at the end of each episode. Then he bumps into his homeroom teacher who he just prevented Akane's Kaiju from killing, showing just how much of a difference he made.
Episode 3
- A villainous example; Akane treats Anti to a breakfast buffet as a reward for him killing Gridman, with the two of them sitting down to eat and talk together. This is before Gridman comes back and Akane starts treating Anti poorly for failing to kill him, of course.Anti: So am I a Kaiju too, then?Akane: Yep, you sure are! You're a Kaiju that even eats breakfast with me.
Episode 12
- The moment Akane's heart was saved, giving the young woman the strength to go back to her world and stopping Alexis from torturing her any longer.
- For that matter, the fact that Gridman's "real power" that finishes Alexis Kerib off for good is "Grid Fixer Beam" - an ability that in the original toku show was just used to repair computers after the Monster of the Week was dealt with. What is it used for here? Repairing a person's soul.
- The last scene of the anime where the real Akane wakes up and rather than staying, decides to get out of bed. The official music video
of UNION, the intro theme, actually continues the narrative from this point, showing Akane returning to normal life and enjoying her reunion with her friends in the real world, and she even keeps the parting present of a pass holder that Rikka gave her.
- Gridman reveals while he has been possessing Yuta's body throughout the whole series, the one emotion from the actual Yuta that rises up that EVEN influences Gridman himself is his feelings for Rikka. It's even implied that after hearing this, Rikka decides to go on a full relationship with the boy.
- There's a Fridge Heartwarming too. All the times Akane tries to seduce Yuta to be her bodyfriend, Yuta absolutely rejects them because of Rikka.
Voice Dramas
- All of 4.4, which features Rikka and her mother having a heart-to-heart about mortality and the latter urging the former to stay alive, ending with a cute moment of them laughing over tonight's dinner.
