This sequel promises very adorable moments
- As the meteor crashes to the ground and appears to be heading towards Skye, Ryder runs to her and saves her just in time. This child will put his life in danger for his pups, who are also his family.
- Chase comforting Skye after the rescue mission turned out to be a trap.
- Heartwarming in Hindsight: Skye comforted Chase in the first film during a mission where he froze up and she went to rescue him. Now it's Chase's turn to comfort her after the mission was a disaster.
- After that same mission, Skye apologizes to Ryder, and Ryder comforts her by saying it wasn't her fault; he shouldn't have sent her on that mission alone in the first place.
- During Skye's backstory, when Ryder finds a semi-conscious Skye succumbing to the cold, he wraps her with his jacket to keep her warm.Ryder: (to a young Skye) I've gotcha. It's okay. Let's get you out of the cold.
- Ryder hugging Chase and Liberty after they managed to save themselves from falling over a cliff.
- Just the fact that Ryder doesn't do an Anger Born of Worry What the Hell, Hero? speech to Skye when he and the rest of the pups rescue her from Victoria's clutches. He still believes in her, even when she's indirectly responsible for giving the scientist all the power she needs to attract more meteors.
- The reveal that Ryder's "No job is too big, no pup is too small" catchphrase was inspired by Skye's determination to power through the snowstorm when he had first met her despite her small size, and the way he tells her this during the film's Darkest Hour to inspire her to help save the day again.
