As a Moments subpage, all spoilers are unmarked as per policy.

  • Rock's ending is both this and bittersweet. He'll finally get some closure with what happened to his mother, but he has to work with Kain, who turns out to be his Evil Uncle. Rock is clearly reluctant to do this and apologizes to Terry, only for his mentor to wish him well.
  • Terry spends a little while reflecting on what Kain said to him. But just as he starts having doubts about the future of Southtown, a group of local kids come up to him and ask him to play some basketball with them. This immediately assuages his fears and brightens his mood.
    • Another layer makes it even more heartwarming, namely that these kids are also fans and admirers of Terry, undercutting his exact fears that he and his deeds will be forgotten since even a young generation are still familiar with him.
  • Tizoc contemplates retiring from his luchador persona, but changes his mind when he hears a young fan gushing about him to his mother.
  • Jae Hoon is pondering over what Kain said about justice, second guessing his own beliefs. Dong Hwan's more practical, laid back, and down-to-Earth attitude quickly snaps him out of it.
  • B. Jenet wakes up after nearly dying in the collapse of Kain's palace. The only reason she's still alive his because her crew abandoned their plan to rob the place and focused on saving her instead. Honor and loyalty among thieves, indeed.
  • Kevin panics when he thinks Marky might've been kidnapped, and then goes absolutely crazy when he thinks the boy died in the palace collapse. Terry calms him down by pointing out that Marky is sleeping in a tree just a few feet away from them.
  • After Hokutomaru returns from the tournament, he finds a letter from his master, Andy. He proclaims the young ninja is now a Shiranui-ryuu Ninjutsu master, and now sees Hakutomaru not as a student, but as a rival that will hopefully surpass him.
  • Philosophical ranting aside, Kain genuinely loved his sister Marie, and wants to fulfill Geese's legacy. When he asks for Rock's help, there's no malice in it at all.
  • SNK villains tend to be power-hungry, petty, greedy, and manipulative toward each other. The fact that Kain and Grant genuinely are longtime best friends and fiercely loyal to each other is a refreshing twist.
  • Sometimes after winning a match, Jae Hoon will check to make sure that his opponent is okay. Another one of his victory poses has his girlfriend giving him water and cheering him on.
  • B. Jenet's ending deserves special mention for being the only character in the cast to succeed in changing Kain's mind with a rather simple, yet poignant philosophy. Kevin's final talk with Kain counts as well, as he just tells Kevin where Marky is with none of his usual misanthropic remarks.
    B. Jenet: "You're too analytical. Live life with a smile! That's enough, is it?"
Kain: "You speak wisdom. You're a fine woman. You seem like a space case, but you see life clearly."
  • While he really hasn't acted about it since he has his own mission, Rock is sympathetic enough to Hotaru's plight of looking for her brother. So, if he wins against her (without resorting to moves inherited from Geese), he offers to help her search for her brother. He's the only one who does so when everyone else talk about something else about her.
