Unmarked spoilers below.

  • The entirety of the 'Special Delivery' side mission. The Deputy gets a call saying that Nick's wife Kim has gone into labour and ends up having to drive the expectant parents through all kinds of chaos to get to the clinic where she can give birth. When all is said and done at the end of the mission, Kim gives birth to a little girl and her and Nick make the Deputy the baby's godparent as thanks.
  • Any time you pet one of your animal companions is bound to warm your heart. One moment in particular has you befriending Boomer first by freeing him from a cage, and then petting him after he finds his owners dead and mourns them.
    • Some other highlights from the Fangs for Hire include Peaches, a mountain lion, rubbing her head on your leg and visibly leaning into your hand as you scratch her ears, or Cheeseburger happily licking the Deputy's face as you cradle his face in your hands.
  • Boomer's trailer ends with him telling the Player Character to "Please pet me sometimes. We're family now!"
  • Reviving your allies. For a human ally, you latch arms with them and pick them up. For the Fangs for Hire, you rub and pet them. Band of Brothers indeed.
  • Tammy's quest in the Whitetail Mountains involves destroying the Cult's radio broadcasts and turning it over to Wheaty, so that he can play as a DJ. While destroying the radio signal is a practical concern, one can easily see this motherly woman giving a teenager the chance to act like a kid, something he never got due to the Cult.
  • Many of the Side Quests in the game involve checking up on friends and making sure the cult hasn't gotten to them. A small town where everyone knows each other and helps out...
  • The circumstances of Cheeseburger's situation, he was a celebrity bear that unintentionally got diabetes from eating an excessive amount of cheeseburgers while he was an orphaned cub. His handlers nursed him back to health by giving him a proper diet. When the cult came around, his handler released him into the wild because Jacob had his eye on Cheeseburger so he can experiment on him and turn him into an equivalent of a "judge".
  • With the right perk, the Deputy may have two accompanying followers, and they will talk to each other. And many of them showcase how friendly they are to each other: Nick and Grace in particular have known each other for years and are the best of friends. With Jess, however, it's oftentimes best to pair her up with a Fang For Hire like Boomer...
    • Pair Grace up with Jess and the older woman will offer her a place to stay once everything is over.
  • The Deputy can come across camps with allies. Occasionally, one guy will play the guitar for his friends. If a man and a woman are together, they'll be slow dancing.
  • A glimmer of hope in the Downer Ending with the announcement of Far Cry: New Dawn, we see not only the world repair from the apocalypse, many of our friends have survived as well.
    • And Far Cry 6 outright ignores the Resist ending and New Dawn, so in 6's continuity at least, nuclear war never even broke out. Boomer is even back as an Amigo, having been shipped off to Yara by Hurk. There are hints that the Project at Eden's Gate is still around in some capacity, but whatever's still going on in Hope County, at least it's not nuclear annihilation. Maybe Joseph was even properly arrested this time.
