In General
  • The tamer trio treats the Digimon as people no matter what kind of problems they caused. So it makes sense they go for the peaceful route and try not to kill or severely harm the Digimon of the week.
  • Unlike the previous series in which Digimon stuck in the human world cause all sorts of problems, this show also showcases Digimon as living beings trying to live normally and helping each other in adapting to their new situation.
  • Gammamon is just so adorable, especially in the Slice of Life sections of an episode, that it's just precious to watch. There are some characters in-universe who acknowledge this by Cuteness Proximity, and the official YouTube channel has a top 10 cutest Gammamon scenes montage.

Episode 2

  • Just one episode in after their introduction, Hiro has taken his father's request to treat Gammamon like a little brother to heart. He knows that Gammamon can't be left on his own and takes him out shopping and to the museum with him - and disregarding a few mishaps involving keeping everyone else under the assumption that he's just a hologram, the little Digimon has the time of his life. Hiro lets Gammamon try all sorts of food when they have lunch together afterward, eagerly noting down his reactions and terminologies on his phone, and rushing to grab water out of his bag when he reacts badly to spicy food.
  • After Mummymon captures them later on, Gammamon withstands his assault to list as many of the things they ate together as he can and Hiro tells him that they should eat chocolate together again, Gammamon responds by declaring that he'll eat more and save him. Hiro's Digivice gradually powers up as the two solidify their bond and finally allows Gammamon to evolve into BetelGammamon.
  • After realizing that Mummymon just wanted to be a doctor and clearing up the misunderstanding, Hiro advised him to go to a hospital to learn proper medical techniques. With that advice, Mummymon immediately releases his victims and departs on good terms with Hiro and Gammamon. While the Digimon franchise is no stranger to this, it’s nice to see the heroes and villains can settle things peacefully.

Episode 3

  • Even though he didn't want to materialize, Angoramon was still willing to do so in order to protect Ruli. Ruli returns the favor by quickly accepting Angoramon as her partner and admiring his fluffiness.

Episode 5

  • Despite all of the trouble that she's caused him before and throughout the episode, Kiyoshiro does everything he can to protect Jellymon and his dorm, even apologizing to Majiramon for what happened, causing him to earn Jellymon's respect, if not more.

Episode 7

  • The ending implies that despite Yatagaramon simply flying to parts unknown, all the birds from its flock that actually liked their human owners will find their way back to them - starting with Chiroro alighting on Mika's shoulder.

Episode 9

  • Even though Clockmon tried to attack him again, which caused his attack to backfire on him. Hiro still decides to save him from his Karmic Death. Clockmon was so touched by his kindness that he promises to never attack humans again.

Episode 11

  • It initially felt like Ruli and Angoramon didn't seem to interact much only for the distance to be the basis of a whole episode about how he's still closed off emotionally even though he's no longer physically hidden from her with them even strengthening their bond in the end.

Episode 13

  • As bleak as the episode is and even though it's immediately mitigated by Jellymon confirming that they lose any memory of their past lives afterward, Angoramon is at least able to comfort Gammamon over Bokomon's death by informing everyone that Digimon are reborn as digitama when they die.

Episode 14

  • This episode serves as a way for Gammamon to find some closure from Bokomon's death.
    • And also helping Koemon with his loneliness what with Granny leaving.
  • After the auditory dread that came with Gammamon's evolution to GrusGammamon, this episode does the opposite - Hiro asks him to try for BetelGammamon so that he can make fireworks with his powers, and he successfully does with a soft piano number playing behind the evolution sequence rather than the Theme Music Power-Up.

Episode 15

  • After the fight against Phelesmon has somewhat ended. Ruli returns to her friends, Aoi and Mika, who are only shown to be worried about her since from their perspective she and the monsters suddenly disappeared. They even understand that Ruli has some secrets of her own she doesn't want to talk about and instead wait until she is willing to explain herself.

Episode 17

  • When Kiyoshiro falls unconscious due to the cold, his Last Request to TeslaJellymon is for her to save Ruli from Frozomon.

Episode 18

  • The two Hawkmon evolve into Orcamon due to their desire to save their friend, Kazuma.
  • Some of the other Digimon evolve out of the cheer joy and coolness of it and continue to play with the children, forming strong bonds of friendship without Petermon's manipulations.

Episode 19

  • It is rather adorable that Hiro sends Gammamon on an errand so that he can buy chocolate on his own, while also unknowingly tailing him in case something goes wrong.
  • At the beginning of the episode, Jellymon said that she only agreed to help Hiro so that Gammamon and Hiro would owe her (and Kiyoshiro) later on. When Pixiemon tells the rest of the group that they kidnapped Hiro and Ruli, and Gammamon doesn't quite understand what's happening at first, Jellymon immediately drops the pretense of only helping for her own purposes to explain to Gammamon with full concern what would happen to Hiro and Ruli if they don't act quick enough.
  • The bonds the tamers share with their partners are strong enough for the Digivice -V- to open a portal to their location when they cry out for their partner's help.

Episode 20

  • After Jellymon is forced to tell DarkLizardmon and Saberdramon where Hiro was (and thus where Gammamon, Angoramon, and Ruli were as well), she immediately urges Kiyoshiro to rush with her to the amusement park to protect them.

Episode 25

  • Hiro manages to talk down BetelGammamon from turning into GulusGammamon, instead resulting in him evolving into his Perfect level: Canoweissmon.

Episode 29

  • After being kicked out of his "integer overflow" mode Kyoshiro, poison spreading through his body and facing a perfect-level Digimon, thinks back at how Hiro and Ruri are always ready to face adversities and decides that he can't do any less, pushing through pain and fear. This inspires TeslaJellymon, triggering the evolution of Thetismon.

Episode 32

  • Gammamon manages to snap Hiro out of the Betsumon's spell. He instantly latches onto Hiro's head, crying like a baby only to be comforted. At the end of the episode, he reconfirms that Ruli and Angoramon recognize him while reaffirming he's Hiro's brother. He fought back after nearly being erased from existence because he loves his friends and family.

Episode 33

  • With Kiyoshiro's on the line, Hiro volunteers to take a drug that'll put one in a state between life and death, but Jellymon insists on being the one drugged up to rescue Kiyoshiro's soul from the Sanzu River. In this episode more than any other, it's shown that Jellymon, despite her selfish attitude, DOES care for her darling.

Episode 38

  • Gammamon uses puppy dog eyes to convince Espimon to not pull a 'this ain't my business' and actually stick with Gammamon to save Hiro, even if this Hiro isn't Espimon's Hiro.

Episode 39

  • Ryudamon and Gammamon sharing chocolate. Given how much Gammamon loves his 'champions,' it's sweet to see.

Episode 40

  • Gammamon's friendship with Rin. It's beautiful to just see him make friends his own "age".
  • Gammamon finally manages to say "sorry" to Hiro over biting his tablet and helps him fight off Calamaramon.
  • Hiro's perfect way to deal with the whole incident. He doesn't get angry at Gammamon at any point during the episode and openly tells him it's ok, the only important thing is that he learns to admit his mistakes. Once again he is shown to have taken the role of Gammamon's big brother to heart, and making an excellent job at that.

Episode 41

  • Piemon's minions like working for him, in contrast to Digimon bosses from the previous series he is not a bad boss to them (even if playing fair meant injuring them during their fight), and bailing Mephismon from Lamortmon's beatdown.
  • Piemon is surprisingly a Fair-Play Villain and keeps his word after being beaten by Ruli.

Episode 42

  • Gammamon evolving into GulusGammamon in order to save Hiro. While still as fearsome as his prior appearances, GulusGammamon shows a bit more respect towards Hiro after seeing him make a step forward and even calls him "Bro" before he devolves willingly.

Episode 43

  • Kiyoshiro's friend Emma tries to give him a smooch on the cheek. Although Jellymon prevents it, Emma doesn't mind and just laughs about it, then takes a picture with them.

Episode 44

  • After the Andiramon trio repair Hokuto's slipper he praises them saying that their help would be appreciated by everyone, and while his idea causes a good deal of problems, it inspired the Andiramon to help people and make them happy.

Episode 45

  • Gammamon and Ryudamon 'training' with lightsticks like they were lightsabers.
  • Gammamon comforting and befriending idol singer Anna saying "You're my little sister, I'll protect you." He takes the hype a face value and follows through with it.

Episode 48

  • Ryudamon properly evolves into Ginryumon out of his desire to save his friends.
  • Ruli modeling her wedding dress with Jellymon at the end. Showing she's not about to let an awful experience ruin something she wanted to do.

Episode 50

Episode 56

  • In his retort to Kuzuhamon, Canoweissmon flashes back to all the humans he'd met and befriended over the series as reasons humans aren't impure. This includes Rin and Anna, showing that while one shot characters, they've had a huge impact on Gammamon personally.

Episode 58

  • During the battle with AncientSphinxmon, Lamortmon lists off all the things that Angoramon has come to love about the human world, prompting Ruli to do the same and both to assert their desire to do more. This triggers Lamortmon to finally Mega Digivolve into Diarbbitmon to protect the world and mankind.
    • Out of the flashbacks, there's also the photoshoot with Jellymon in Episode 48, showing that she's not letting the gruesome torture the Chamblemon inflicted onto her weigh down her time in Akane's wedding.

Episode 60

  • Kiyoshiro's & Jellymon's shared love for humanity in general. Despite their idiosyncratic behaviours, both of them genuinely love being around humans and it is that shared love and desire to protect humanity which ultimate enables Jellymon to achieve her Mega Evolution: Amphimon.

Episode 61

  • Hiro resolves to keep Moon=Millenniummon's dormant body with him. When the group expresses concern over it, with Kiyoshiro asking Hiro what they'll do if the aforementioned Digimon were to cause trouble again, Hiro confidently yet gently tells the group that they'll simply solve the issue again, together, before giving them a soft smile. The others look at each other in turn, agreeing with Hiro and also giving each other reassuring smiles.

Episode 62

  • When Espimon declares that he would stop living with Gammamon and Hiro from then on, Gammamon tearfully begs him to stay, showing how attached he has become to Espimon. When Espimon leaves, he thinks that Hiro is heartless for not trying to stop him more firmly, showing how attached he has also become to the two.
  • Though they are only acquaintances, Espimon still comes to Aoi's rescue and risks breaking his contract to ClavisAngemon to get her out of the building safely.
  • Gammamon, Angoramon, and Jellymon shower Espimon with praise for finally evolving and helping save them.
  • At the end of the episode, Aoi gives Espimon a warm hug and sincere thanks for saving her, and offers to let him stay with her and her family if he would like to. Gammamon also offers him his and Hiro's abode, to which Espimon tells them he'll think about it.
  • Despite he does cause trouble for a large group of people, at the end ClavisAngemon just wants to give a group of Digimon a safe home in the human world. And among the Digimon he sheltered within Aoi's apartment includes "evil" Digimon like Impmon and Kunemon.

Episode 63

  • When seeing that it's a Quartzmon that's the antagonist Digimon of the episode, one would likely assume that similarly to ZeedMillenniumon wanting to annihilate the world and being a threat to time and space, Quartzmon would end up being a massive threat just like his counterpart in Digimon Xros Wars: The Young Hunters Who Leapt Through Time, seeking to assimilate everyone on Earth. Turns out that this isn't the case though, as this Quartzmon turned out to be a Well-Intentioned Extremist, only doing what he did in order to feed a ton of Baby Digimon that he was trying to protect, heavily contrasting the gruesome nature of his incident. Once he explains his situation to the others, the heroes are more than willing to stop fighting and settle things peacefully as Quartzmon then recalls his miniature clones once he's sure the heroes will help him care for the Baby levels, restoring his victims back to normal. The heroes even get to take a rest on one of his arms with Gammamon feeding one of the baby Digimon.
  • Quartzmon is protective of the babies to the point he keeps them inside his body to protect them like a father seahorse protecting his young. And the sight of him gently letting an Upamon affectionately rub up against his finger is borderline if not outright heartmelting.
  • It's implied that ClavisAngemon and Quartzmon's incidents are not random but rather a systematic exodus of Digimon from the Digital World to the human world, implied to be a result of GulusGammamon showing his true colors. In hard times like these, high-level Digimon protect their lesser brethren from impending doom (though sometimes their methods are pretty twisted), even if Digimon in-general have a good rep of running on kill-or-be-killed Darwinism.

Episode 64

  • Cthyllamon and his group of Hangyomon coming alongside Black Tailmon Uver. to help deal with Dagomon. The Hangyomon even take care of Dagomon's victims, despite they're responsible for flooding an entire city before. They've turned to a new leaf, and it shows.
  • While it's cut short by the upcoming calamity, Hokuto finally returns into the real world and reunites with his son after 63 Episodes of disappearance. Oh, and he now has a rather adorable Terriermon Assistant alongside him.

Episode 65

  • Pretty much any time Terriermon Assistant is on screen, the little guy is too sweet for words.
  • Also, Hokuto, in spite of having finally escaped the Digital World, is perfectly willing to go back in with his sons in a heart beat.

Episode 67

  • Hiro saves Gammamon from death nothing less than the power of familial love. And shows he knows his brother well enough once again not to be fooled by an imposter with Gammamon's memories.
  • The 'kids are seperated from their partners' trend remains broken, as the kids not only remain with their partners, but help act as a bridge between humans and Digimon. It's one of the most optimistic endings to the franchise, with everything implying a peaceful future.
