Season 1
1x01: Sunny and Jamison
- Jamison actually turned out to be a girl named Chelsea. Sunny and Chelsea decide to be friends, despite Chelsea lying. After the episode, Nev and Max hook up Sunny with the model's picture Chelsea was using, the real Jamison.
- This episode is one of the moments where the person the hopeful is talking to is actually real.
- Although Ebony said she couldnt meet up because she was transgender, but she said that she was not transgender.
Season 2
2x04: Lauren and Derek
- This episode is well known for Derek being a real person, not a catfish, and Lauren herself couldn't believe it.
- Derek even proposed to her on the reunion show (see the caption above).

4x07: Whitney and Bre
- Whitney contacted Nev and Max to see what's up with a girl she's been talking to, named Bre. Nev and Max discover that Whitney had contacted the show under false pretences, Bre was real and Whitney only wanted a plane ticket to Los Angeles, where Bre lived. Nev and Max decided to go ahead and help Whitney meet Bre. When the two met, it was really nice to see them together.

6x03: Danny & Rosa
- Rosa was actually a guy named Jose. After Nev and Max talk to Jose, who had a rough growing up, Danny decides to pray for Jose
- Jose from 6x03 is back, but this time, HE'S getting catfished. The catfish's name is also called Jose, the Jose catfish has also had a rough upbringing and has a drinking problem. Hopeful!Jose decides to pray for Catfish!Jose, just like Danny did for Jose back in 6x03
